En este tour con un guía privado, conocerás el taller y la última casa del pintor Joaquín Sorolla, junto con sus exposiciones temporales. El Museo Sorolla cuenta además con las más importantes obras del artista, clasificadas en diferentes categorías. Es uno de los museos más bellos y hogareños de Madrid, así como una de las casas mejor conservadas de Europa. El edificio fue convertido en un museo después de la muerte de su viuda. Diseñado por Enrique María Repullés, fue declarado Bien de Interés Cultural en 1962. Las habitaciones principales siguen siendo amuebladas como lo fueron durante la vida del artista, incluyendo el estudio grande y bien iluminado de Sorolla, donde las paredes están llenas de sus lienzos. Otras salas se usan como galerías para mostrar las pinturas de Sorolla, mientras que las habitaciones de arriba son una galería para exposiciones especiales. ¡No te pierdas este singular rincón de Madrid!

Unfortunately the Madrid house museum is closed for restoration but if you want to see the works of this painter you can come to Valencia where his beautiful paintings are exhibited in an exhibition set up by the "Banking Foundation" that I visited today. They are expected to return to Madrid in late April 2026.

The tour guide cancelled via email the night before the tour. I saw the cancellation at midnight and was able to buy tickets direct from the venue. The audio guide available there was excellent. You don't need a guide for this museum.

Carla was an excellent guide, she knew so much about Sorolla. The house is beautiful and the paintings and sculptures were wonderful. It was also great to see how the family lived in the house, the old photos etc were so interesting.

Knowledgeable and friendly guide . Beautiful gem of a museum . Quite small but great if you love the work of Sorolla. Well worth a visit.

Was there on Tuesday 05/04: closed floor without explanation, part of the promised works not present or not visible (upstairs?). Coming from Bordeaux on purpose, and although the place is superb, I was disappointed.
