San Miguel de Allende, una ciudad de la época colonial en la zona alta central de México, es conocida por su arquitectura barroca española, su activa escena artística y sus festivales culturales. En el centro histórico de adoquines de la ciudad, se encuentra la Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, de estilo neogótico, cuyas espectaculares torres rosas se alzan por sobre la plaza principal, El Jardín. Cerca se encuentra la iglesia del Templo de San Francisco con una fachada churrigueresca del siglo XVIII. Es considerada una de las ciudades más bonitas de México y en 2008 fue reconocida por la UNESCO. Sus calles empedradas, patios arbolados, finos detalles arquitectónicos y suntuosos interiores, te enamorarán; quizá por ello CN Travel la declaró una de las veinticinco mejores ciudades elegidas por los viajeros.

Tour guide cancelled trip night before event sent a message to Viator for refund still nothing sure hope I am not out 400+ dollars I am sure it would have been great 😩
Good afternoon, your refund was requested and processed through Viator. We regret the cancellation, but it was beyond our control.
We had a great guide Juan Carlos , we only went for a day but i would recommended at least to stay one night if not two nights m we encountered lots of traffic on the way and took us 5 hours to get there once there we had a great time , scenery histor, restaurant The Estoril recommended lots to do and see

The guide we had did not speak English.. we barely could communicate with each other .. we did not receive any information on the places we visited — very very disappointed.

We had a wonderful tour with Juan Carlos! He was very knowledgeable about the region, and gave us a ton of information about Queretaro/San Miguel De Allende. I highly recommend it.

My guide who has been reviewed previously was the worst guide I have ever had on a Viator trip. I have taken over a 1000 Viator trips and the guides for the most part have been fantastic. Juan Carlos was 30 minutes late in picking me up for my tour to San Miguel de Allende. Then for 3 1/2 hours he only spoke to the driver. I asked one question along the way and he did not respond. When we got there he took me to the beautiful Church but gave me very little history. After seeing the beautiful church we took pictures and then went to the central square. He took me to anther church and then he told me he had to go get the car. He told me to wait on the side of the church and told me he would be back in 25 minutes. He left me standing at that place FOR ONE HOUR. I am a senior citizen and standing for one hour was very difficult. I do not know why he could not just call the driver to come and get us instead of deserting me for one hour. I tried to call him and no answer. I also messaged him on WhatsApp and no reply. I also tried to message him on the Viator site. I was getting very very scared. He came back and told me it was the traffic. When he finally came back he told me it was the traffic but I believe he went to go eat with the driver. He could have called or messaged me if he was going to be late. He did not need to leave me for an hour anyway as I said before. We could have seen more of the city if he had coordinated with the driver like most good tour guides do. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. Juan Carlos was not professional and I was so upset I did not finish the rest of my tour. As I said before I know what makes a good tour guide and Juan Carlos did not even come close to being one of them. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. I payed nearly $400 American dollars for this tour and I feel like it was not worth any where near this amount. Juan Carlos wasted my time and money!
We are very sorry that your tour was not what was expected, we have always characterized ourselves by offering a high quality service, all our clients are very pleased with our tours but unfortunately the traffic and the crowds of tourist destinations at this time are very high and that makes the operation on each tour a little more difficult and slow. The guide told us that bad communication that caused his annoyance, we will try to improve but without a doubt there are situations that are not in our hands in each destination we visit, we reiterate our apology. I highly recommend this travel agency and guide. A very interesting trip, the guide was VERY competent. He has enormous knowledge and can be interesting! Great driver. The guide knows GREAT restaurants and photo spots! You probably won't find a better travel agency in Mexico.

Private tours are more expensive, but are they worth it?... in a word, YES! I was traveling alone and my private tour to Queretaro & San Miguel with Juan Carlos Garcia was indescribable! The hospitality shown by my guide is hard to put into words and I will never forget my experience! I was fortunate to enough to meet and have breakfast with Juan Carlos and his wife Sara, and I felt like family. I strongly urge you to book a private tour with Juan Carlos and Corazon Historico! More so than the beautiful cities, was the beautiful interpersonal experience! It is something I will never forget, and even though my guide, his wife, and I may never meet again, I feel like I made new friends. I don’t think they will ever realize the impact they made on me! They dropped me off they taught me, “no dices adios, dices que la vaya bien”- “you don’t say goodbye, you say be well!” My faith in humanity is fully restored!

Juan Carlos took my parents and I on this day trip and it was one of the best days we've had in Mexico. He was super punctual on the pick up, drives safely, answered all of our questions (my dad asks a lot!) and is a great company. A very kind, polite and interesting person! He was also flexible about the duration of the tour, as we wanted to stay a bit more time in San Miguel. We ended up booking 2 other tours with him on different days because he was the best guide we had in Mexico (we did a few other tours with other operators). You can book this tour (and any other) with his company Corazón Histórico, you won't regreat. Thank you Juan for the great experience!
