Our guide Judith was very engaging and informative. We learned about the history of French speaking Canada from the founding of Quebec up to current times. If you are interested in the history - this is the tour for you. We did not travel outside the immediate area of Old Quebec so if you want a more broad ranging tour you may want something else. Great for history buffs !
Learned so much history and culture from an experienced guide. Recommend highly!
Judith was wonderful. Very knowledgable and passionate about Quebec and its history. We highly recommend a tour with Judith.
Judith was our brilliant guide on June 9, 2026 for our private history and nature walking tour of Old Quebec City. The primary focus of this tour is how climate, weather and geography affected every aspect of Quebec's history. This particular tour appealed to us because the guide goes into greater historical depth, detail and analysis than a typical city walking tour. Be prepared to walk away with a greater understanding of Quebec City's unique, sometimes incredible history!
We truly appreciate reading your positive comments about our approach on history. We are glad you took time to send your feedback about Judith who enjoy meeting kindred spirit and share her comprehensive view on Quebec' history. Thanks again for joining our Private Walking tour.
Judith was just incredibly as a tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and a delight to talk with. She answered any questions we had and more! I would highly recommend this tour, it’s a great way to start your visit in Quebec City!
We’re delighted you enjoyed your private walking tour with us. It s a great pleasure when we succeed in offering a tailored experience to our guests and greatly appreciate that you took time to share your positive comments. Great thanks for your support!
Judith was an excellent guide! We learned so much about the area and enjoyed it very much. It was me (47) and my 13 year old son. Judith kept him entertained while also giving him space to be a teenager. I loved having a one on one guide, it was much more personal and we were able to ask questions and get recommendations specific to us. Thanks Judith!
Thank you very much for sharing your positive comments about your experience with our Private Walking tour. We are glad you and your son enjoyed our approach on history!
Good easy hike, a few hills. So much fun with the goats. Francois was a great companion and guide. We hit a rainstorm, so bring a poncho or umbrella if weather indicates.
This is the best tour I have experienced in any country. It was much more a conversation with local who is highly intelligent and adapts to what you want to learn about history and culture. A dry French- Canadian humor made it all the better. Highly recommend.
Thank you so much for sharing your positive comments about your visit with us. We're thrilled you had a great experience and appreciate you taking the time to share it.
Wow! Our guide, Judith, was so incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her as she shared both the history of the founding of the town as well as her personal knowledge having grown up there. I could have spend the rest of the day talking with her. Such a cool lady! She will absolutely give you your money’s worth and then some :)
Thank you very much for taking time to share your appreciation of your tour with Judith while in Quebec City. We truly appreciate knowing that our guests return home with warm memories of their experience with us, sharing history, culture and the realities of our time.
We scheduled the tour for our first morning in Quebec City. Our amazing tour guide me us at our hotel and took us for a 3-hour walking tour of the old city. She was incredibly knowledgable about the history and buildings of old Quebec. From the creation of the settlemesnt by Champlain, to the battles for the city in the French & Indian War in the Battle of the Plains of Abraham and the US attempt during the Revolutionary War. She is well versed in the current gestalt of the city and had lots of interesting back-stories of Quebec. In addition, if you are a fan of the Armand Gamache books by Louise Penny, she pointed out a number of buildings and restaurants and other locations that were prominent in her book "Bury Your Dead". She had a delightful French accent which made the tour so much more enjoyable. The tour gave us a much deeper knowledge base from which to enjoy the rest of our time there.
Many thanks for your words of appreciation and support. Sharing the history of our city is a good opportunity to meet kindred spirit and we are very happy when we succeed in transforming their visit into an enjoyable experience. Thanks a gain for choosing our tours.
