Tour privado a los glaciares y cascadas de þórsmörk

En este recorrido turístico privado en jeep, conduciremos a þórsmörk desde Hvolsvöllur, hay muchos cruces de ríos en nuestro camino hacia allí. Nos detendremos en gígjökull y admiraremos su belleza y veremos cómo la erupción en 2010 afectó el área. Caminaremos hasta stakkholtsgjá (cañón) antes de visitar básar y caminar. El tour de Þórsmörk es un gran día en el que puede divertirse cruzando el río en automóvil y caminando en un hermoso entorno. Si no eres un excursionista, podemos omitir la caminata y simplemente conducir por la zona.

Conduciremos hasta las raíces de gígjökull y veremos cómo la erupción de 2010 cambió la zona.
Caminaremos hacia el cañón y visitaremos la cascada al final del cañón.

Aquí en el campamento de Básar, podemos sentarnos a almorzar, puedes comer lo que traigas o comprar un perrito caliente con sopa de carne o algún refrigerio en una pequeña tienda en Básar y luego podemos caminar si te apetece.

My daughter and I came here for her college graduation. Frey came highly recommended.He showed us areas of the Iceland highlands few have access to and even fewer know how to navigate ( we saw several abandoned tourist cars😱) Thank you so much for sharing these special places and all of your stories. Highly recommend this tour with Fred. You might be tempted to DIY this type of trip but you will just end up trashing your rental car and having to pay for a new car when your insurance won't cover it. Instead book this tour with Fred - he will take you in his 4x4 off road vehicle across the rivers and into the valley where you will see fantastic views, get up close and personal to glaciers and waterfalls. The hiking can be as little or as much as you want. We opted to have Fred bring the lunch and enjoyed freshly grilled hamburgers. Best of all since Fred grew up in the area you can ask him about anything and everything about Iceland - politics, education, culture. Fred's stories about what it's like to grow up in Iceland are funny and interesting. We had a great day touring with Fred.
