Justo al lado está el palacio presidencial y la casa de Ho Chi Minh sobre pilotes donde vivió y trabajó desde 1958 hasta 1969. A un lado del Mausoleo se encuentra la única Pagoda de un pilar. Construida en 1049, la estructura se ha convertido en un importante símbolo de Hanoi.
