The guide and bus were over 30 minutes late in arriving at the meeting point. We received little communication about the delay. Because we had plans for the afternoon, we could not do the tour due to the delay.
We really enjoyed this tour! Our guide was excellent and shared a lot of interesting and helpful information throughout the trip. I especially liked that the tour included a visit to Beluga Point—we even spotted a moose along the way! The tour was a great introduction to the area. It helped us get the lay of the land, which made it much easier to plan and appreciate the rest of our stay in Anchorage and the surrounding region. The tour guides restaurant recommendations were spot on! The salmon and reindeer sausage tasting was a fun addition, and we also enjoyed the stop at the chocolate factory. There was no pressure to buy anything, which we appreciated. The only minor downside was that we were seated in the back of the van, and part of our view was slightly blocked by the bear decal on the outside of the vehicle. We could still see well enough, but if possible, I'd recommend sitting closer to the front for the best views. Overall, this was an excellent tour, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Anchorage.
Fun and informative tour. Our tour guide was Melissa, and she was great. She shared lots of local information. We enjoyed the ulu knife stop and demonstration, also the stop for the sausage and salmon tasting. We could have skipped the chocolate stop, because no sharing of information from the store. No sampling. Pretty much a shopping stop.
Excellent introduction to Anchorage! Friendly, knowledgeable guide and a nice van to travel in. A great option to learn about the city’s history and culture.
It was a good general tour of the city, although slightly commercial since we stopped in a lot of businesses where you could buy things. But we’re tourists so that was kind of nice in a way. The driver had a lot of knowledge of the city and we learned quite a bit. As a new visitor, I would definitely do it again.
Gary gave us a great tour! He was very knowledgeable and kept the tour interesting. I recommend this tour for a great overview if Anchorage.
Awesome time went thru out the city and good food
No refund for heavy rain. Very disappointing Do not recommend I even called and spoke with the person
The tour service was excellent Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly Helped storing our luggage and dropped us at the airport.
We took another tour with about the same stops... so it wasn't as new to us. I was with my husband, sister-in-law and a friend. We stopped at the fish place and the samples were not as they appeared on the advertisment, they were smaller. I thought this tour was .... look, taste and buy. The chocolate store was the same, but we did sample and buy there.
