Kory was an awesome pilot. We are a quite active and adventurous. Hike and hunt a lot, and he hiked us to several great spots on the glacier that not all passengers could get to. We saw 2 black bears, marmots, and mountain goat, drank from a glacier stream, and took epic photos. A real highlight of our Alaskan trip. A once in a life time experience!! Great Day!!!
OMGosh this was the best tour, our Pilot, Ben, was so attentive and knowledgeable. I recommend them above others as they take the time and actually go out of their way to show you the glaciers.
Firsty, we arranged return pick up from hotel as Palmer is a good hour drive from Anchorage. Our driver was on time, lovely vehicle and made the transfer process very easy - thank you. We booked the dogsled tour but this was cancelled after we arrived due to high winds. We were immediately offered a refund but opted to switch to the Knik Glacier 2hr, 3 stop tour. Our pilot was Ben - he was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE and gave us the very best experience and was able to explain everything we were seeing. Although we were disappointed to miss the dogs, weather is weather and we were beyond delighted with our experience and our pilot Ben! Today was an experience we will never forget and one we will be hard pressed to explain to people regarding how amazing it was.
We originally signed up for the dog sled tour, but the weather conditions were not in our favor. We were able to do the Knik glacier tour instead and it was absolutely incredible! Our guide Kory was amazing! We were able to walk in a glacier and see and touch the pools. The scenery, peacefulness and sheer vastness of everything was breathtaking! Kory took great care of us from start to finish. Would definitely do this again!
OMG…..absolutely AMAZING. A must for anyone visiting Anchorage AK. Our pilot Cody was the best, landing in places so unique and special. A trip we will talk about for the rest of our lives.
This was an amazing addition to our Alaska trip. I would highly recommend this tour company to my family and friends. They were very professional the facility was very nice too.
We had a fantastic trip and loved every minute of it. Truly a trip of a lifetime. Our guide, Gavin, was fantastic and very knowledgeable! Would highly recommend this tour.
My wife and I were in Anchorage, between visits to Seward and Denali. We didn’t really have anything planned in Anchorage, so a helicopter tour sounded like fun. We booked the "Grand Knik Glacier Experience" for three landings and glacier sightseeing. I highly recommend this tour. We booked transportation to their facility (I originally thought it could be Uber'ed, but it's a long way). Our driver, Kevin, picked us up at our hotel, and we made the pleasant ride from Anchorage to Palmer. Kevin knew we should be early for our tour in case the helicopter was ready. He had seen people show up late for sightseeing, not be ready, and miss the tour due to weather changes. We had no idea what to expect, so there wasn’t much we could tell our pilot, Sam. He took great care of us and chose a bunch of things for us to see. We landed at a raging waterfall fed by the snowmelt, a mountain surrounded by glaciers, and the glacier itself. The secluded waterfall was great. The water was roaring, and we could feel the spray on our faces. Atop the mountain, we marveled at the 360-degree panorama of the Knik Glacier. Walking on the mountaintop tundra was strange; it felt springy and soft. On the glacier itself, the water was so blue, and the ice beneath showed deep-blue crevasses. Sam again took great care of us, providing us with strap-on crampons so we would feel secure on the ice. We booked this trip because we didn’t have anything else going on. But it turned out to be among my favorite activities in Alaska. When I return to Alaska, I’ll make certain to do another tour.
Our polite Jack was exceptional, explained everything and was very patient. Our original tour was cancelled because of the weather, check in people helped us book for another day pretty quickly, highly recommend this tour and our poilet
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip this morning, Aaron, our pilot was amazing and provided us with a thorough education. The staff was courteous, attentive to our needs, and each person we encountered made sure to ask if our experience was what we expected.
