Ghana excellent. Punctual. Without rushing. Throughout the entire journey he tried to talk to us about aspects of Tahitian culture from A to Z. Highly recommended
Good way to spend a day in Tahiti. Roni was a very good tour guide and interesting person. Really enjoyed seeing the surfing area Teahupoo - worth the extra cost.
Thank you for your review - we are pleased you enjoyed the tour.
Tracy was the absolute best guide. Spoke English very well. She was very knowledgeable about the area and local culture. Would definitely recommend.
Even though I had overpaid them by $30 which was refunded I was refused entry onto the bus (other passengers on that bus told me days later the tour was good but my solo ticket was resold to a couple so the company filled the tour bus). After the tour bus had departed I spoke to a company representative Tracy, who offered me the half day afternoon tour at no charge(free). I was not interested in this tour but as it was late morning and I was stranded I accepted their offer only to find out I have been charged for the half day tour. I have requested this company refund the A$276:64 owed to me but have been ignored. Solo traveler's do not book with this company or believe their lies.
Hello Kenneth You did not participate in the FULL DAY TOUR, you participated in the HALF DAY TOUR. . You have paid for the service you received. On April 25th you were refunded 60usd through the VIATOR app (the difference in price between the 2 tours) We left more than 6 messages that remain unanswered explaining this Had you not accepted our offer to join the afternoon tour we would have happily offered a full refund. At 8.30am on the dock there were plenty of alternatives available at the busy cruise ship terminal - left "stranded" is inaccurate. We are delighted that the other guests enjoyed the tour (2 of them solo travellers, as yourself) We are surprised that the other guests you met have access to our booking system, knowing information that we are unaware of , we will investigate that immediately !!!!! For your information, on CRUISE SHIP DAYS, our tours are ALL PRE-SOLD months/years in advance. As you experienced, with our guide RONI in the afternoon tour , our service ,guides and reps are exceptional.
Unique Tahiti Tours is without a doubt the best tour company on the island! Tracey and her staff provide not only the most culturally detailed and informative tours, but provide a wealth of stops that really do capture the essence of Tahiti. The full day tour is worth every penny and you really do get to see the best parts of the island for your time! None of the stops ever felt crowded and the size of our group was also optimal for making friends and conversation along the way. Gana, our tour group’s driver, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable. A great soul that really enjoys sharing the Tahitian culture. 100/10 would recommend to anyone visiting the island and wanting to take it in all that Tahiti has to offer.
Thank you Noah - pleasure working with organising your time on Tahiti to get the most out of your stay ! See you next time you are on Tahiti we hope
I initially wanted to do the half-day tour but I was booking the night before and the only open spot was on the full-day tour. "Do I really want to spend a whole day on this?" I booked it hoping that I wasn't making a mistake. I'm so glad I did. It was a great day out. Picked up from and returned to my hotel with no problems. Mihi was an excellent guide. I got to see interesting places along the west coast and to learn more about the history of Tahiti. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending this tour to anyone, (I do recommend the optional boat tour to see the surfers and waves in Teahupo'o.)
This was a fantastic experience with a very passionate and knowledgeable guide Gana. We really feel we have seen and enjoyed so many amazing areas on the island. We loved the restaurant we were taken to for lunch and the optional extra tour out to see the huge waves on the reef which was the site of the surfing competition for the French Olympics.
5/26/26 took the full day combo tour and I found it well worth it. A very thorough, beautiful and comfortable trip. Our guide was thoughtful, knowledgeable and outstanding!
This Tahiti full day tour covers so much waterfalls, botanical gardens , watering holes, black sandy beaches ancient Polynesian sites etc - so glad you enjoyed it and your guide Ganas company.
During a 2-week cruise of French Polynesia, I consulted the Paul Gauguin travel desk to find a full-day tour of Tahiti. Several options fell through — some weren't available on Saturday, March 21, the ship's disembarkation date, except as expensive private tours, while others were only half-day. Since my flight home didn't depart until 11:30 p.m., I didn't want to spend the day at a hotel or the airport. I had not toured Tahiti for many years so I was excited about seeing it again. I was delighted when the travel desk finally connected me with Tracey Thomas of Unique Tahiti. She offered a full-day tour of West Tahiti, including Tahiti Iti, starting at 9:30 a.m., leaving from the Papeete Cruise Terminal, with a drop-off at Papeete airport afterward — after 5 p.m. One other couple joined us, and our luggage was stowed in the back of her Mercedes van. The itinerary was pleasantly flexible: we made all the planned stops but also seized impromptu opportunities — a fisherman selling fresh catch along the roadside, a small harbor where boats were coming in with the day's haul and more. It felt relaxed and spontaneous rather than rushed. The tour price was modest compared to a private excursion, though there were a couple of optional add-ons. For $25 extra, we could take a small boat beyond the reef on Tahiti Iti to see the site of surfing championships. We also stopped for lunch at a lovely beachside restaurant in Tahiti Iti, La Plage de Maui, at additional cost. Tracey herself was a highlight. Originally from Britain — still with a lovely accent — she has lived in Tahiti for 20 years and previously worked as a Program Manager (not Cruise Director) aboard the Paul Gauguin. She also offers East Coast tours, though those are currently half-day only. As it turns out, my travel agent was also familiar with Unique Tahiti. Bottom line: Unique Tahiti comes highly recommended — a well-deserved five stars. ★★★★★
Everyone had a terrific - and full - day with Mihi as our guide. Each place we visited there was ample time to explore and take photos. Being a local, she shared history and wonderful stories. High energy all day! Professional, courteous - very comfortable Mercedes van.
