Moorea 6 - Tour compartido de buceo y almuerzo

Wilfred was absolutely amazing. If you do this tour request him. His English is great and he is so knowledgeable. He taught us so much about the ecosystem, plants, weaving, coconuts and the lunch was incredible. This was one of our favorite excursions.

The highlight of this tour was the sharks and rays. Do not miss this boat tour. It is a must while in Moorea.

We booked this tour for our vacation in Moorea towards mid-June 2026. Wilfred was great as our guide and boat captain. At one stop, he helped us to pet a stingray and showed us to be calm in the water with blacktip sharks.He didn't just help us enjoy our water/snorkeling activities, but he also showed us so much about French Polynesian culture too. We stopped later at a motu, where Wilfred helped to prepare lunch and provided entertainment. He played the ukulele and drum for us, showed us how to cook poisson cru, taught us to split open a coconut for its milk, and he taught us how to use a pareo (sarong) for different outfits. He made palm leaf hats for the tour group and explained how to preserve them and bring them home. We still have ours. He ensured that the whole tour group could participate. He did all of it with an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. He also focused on ensuring that we were able to have photographs of ourselves watching or participating in all the activities of the tour. This was a great tour.

We have been on several Miti Motu Picnics and they are amazing. Wilfred is a great captain and made the day so much fun.

Wonderful guide and great snorkeling. Got to swim with sharks, stingrays, and lots of fish. The lunch is a great way to experience more traditional foods and the cultural/craft demonstrations were quite cool!

Thank you Willie for the wonderful day full of fun and adventure. Will recommend to all our friends. This tour was one of our most memorable.

My wife and I had a great time on this excursion. Swimming with the sharks and rays was really fun! My wife said before we got there she wasn't going to get in the water but changed her mind once we got there and had a great time. And then the lunch....wow! Best meal I had on Moorea!!!!

We loved the excursion and o Mana and Elvis were outstanding. We snorkeled with sharks, rays and fish, and saw sea turtles as we traveled on the boat. Mana was amazing in explaining so many things in both English and French. Elvis (and another man whose name I did not catch) surprised us with a serenade for our 50th anniversary during the luncheon. And there was so much more! We highly recommend this tour.

I’ve done a similar tour before and this was at least as good. I’d happily book with Moorea Miti Tours again tomorrow. Nolte, our guide, (like Nick Nolte,) has a great deadpan delivery for his jokes, and he was super friendly. The time on the sandbar with the sharks and the rays was enjoyable and we did pay the local photographer with her waterproof camera for underwater pictures with the stingrays. The time snorkeling between the two motus was excellent as expected. The fresh poison cru was perfectly balanced with lime, salt, and freshly squeezed coconut milk. The other picnic food was also a solid meal. Lastly, the discussion of local flora, and the uses there of for medicinal purposes was quite interesting, as was the demonstration of different ways to wear the sarong/pareu. One gentleman commented, “I guess we don’t need to buy dresses ever again!” since the lady was able to demonstrate one sarong could be worn in dozens of ways.
