Our guide was Pamela and her tour was amazing from the start. The fruit and juice tasting was amazing, especially the naranjilla juice. We had a special treat of touring on a Thursday, so we were able to taste bollobde pescado, which didn't look too good (to me anyway) but was very delicious with the pickled aji peppers. The local art was a great teat and finishing with the chocolate tasting was perfect. Highly recommend the tour and especially with Pamela as the guide. Salud!
My husband and I did this tour on our first full day in Quito. It was a great introduction to the city! We tried a variety of different street foods/juices and walked all over the city. We went to areas we never would’ve visited as tourists. It truly felt like an authentic experience! Santi was our guide and was fantastic!
We had a wonderful tour of Quito and learned so much about the current day life of art and culture. Even my husband, a native to Quito, discovered new parts. Ernesto found ways to interest all five of us. I would definitively go again. Although I might miss the torrential downpour at the end. But as knowledge as Ernest is about Quito, he can not control the weather. The tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Quito! Thanks
My wife and I spent a nice half day being shown around the old and new city by Nico. He took us to local markets and small restaurants where we sampled the local foods. We also saw some of the local parks and historical sites. It was a good introduction to the city. Contact Nico if you come here!
The This is Quito tour was an excellent experience I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Quito. Alberto was an outstanding guide who highlighted the perfect blend of architecture, history, and culture of Quito. It was a walking tour, which was a fantastic way to get a feel for the city. A must do for sure!
Had a wonderful experience wandering through the streets of Quito with Alberto. Interesting stories, great discussions. An excellent blend of key sites, holes in the wall, local food, markets, and unique perspectives on this beautiful city. A great experience overall, and was wonderful thing to do at the beginning of my stay as Alberto made a bunch of suggestions for other things to do and see that fit with personal interests. Absolutely wonderful!
This was a fabulous tour on foot with Alberto. Learned so much about the architecture and social-political history, and some cultural insights. Saw Quito from roof tops, inside markets and at the tables of places with people's food. Great stops at plaza, church, gallery, fair trade shop, market, food stalls, new and old Quito. Alberto is an experienced and knowledgeable guide with a good sense of humour, excellent English, and is able to keep a commentary going while making it seem like a friend is showing you around. Highly recommend this as a way to see Quito with people who love and know their city.
