Our entire day was well planned, with the transport to and from the ferry we'll done, our guide Roman was very knowledgeable, and the experience memorable.
Outstanding experience. Our tour guide was Evgenia. She explained the history of the country as well as provided insight as to the culture. I was impressed by the scenery, the buildings, the people, and the stories. Evgenia made a true difference. The pick-up and drop-off logistics were perfect. Everything happened on time and with clear signage. The ferry ride was also straightforward. The ship does offer many food options. In summary it was a great day, in an outstanding city, with wonderful people.
Our driver picked us up from our hotel and dropped us at the ferry terminal. He did not speak to us and was initially abrupt when I asked if he was picking us up for the Tallinn trip. When he dropped us off I had to ask him where to go. This should not put you off as soon as we met our guide Anastasia the trip really started when we got off the 2 hour ferry crossing. Anastasia was knowledgeable and friendly. The places we visited were lovely and interesting to understand the history of Tallinn. Once the tour was over Anastasia made sure we all knew where our driver was picking us up from to get back to the ferry and which terminal we head to make our way to. We had a good length of time to enjoy the streets of Tallinn and explore on our own. We were promptly picked up on time and made on way back the ferry. When we arrived our driver sent a message to let us know he was on his way. He greeted us with a friendly smile. He asked about our experiences in Tallinn and in Finland. He was very pleasant and polite which ended the trip for us incredibly nicely. We would definitely recommend the Tallinn trip.
Everyone we worked With at get a guide was fantastic! Wonderful communication and customer service. The tour was great and learned so much. Wish we had more time!
This was a great little tour that gave us a nice insight into the older parts of Tallinn. We did a one-day trip from Helsinki and the team did a fantastic job getting us there. They arranged a pickup from, and return, our hotel and clear instructions on how to get the n the ferry and where to meet upon arrival. Anastasia was our guide and as he was fantastic. She had interesting in as nights and was quite skilled at keeping us on time. Moving amongst a number of much larger tour groups, she could have a second job herding cats in a storm! The tour lasted two hours and ended with Anastasia showing us where we would be picked up. After doing that, she left (her job was done) and we got about our self-paced tour. The driver was on time and left when we were told he would leave. You have very specific times to be at the ferry and they were intent on getting us there on time. . One member of our group, who was traveling alone, did not make it to the pickup point and we left without her. I texted the tour operator so they knew and could reach out to her. We had some bad weather roll in and, as it turns out, she had taken a taxi to the ferry. All in all, a great way to get a nice walk through Tallinn. The information you get can help focus where you may want to spend more time when on your own time.
Day Trip to Tallinn, Estonia We enjoyed a wonderful day trip to Tallinn, with pickup and drop-off included in the tour. Ulla provided excellent service from start to finish, keeping us well informed from the time of booking through to our return to the hotel. Having transfers included made everything so much easier, especially as we don’t speak the language and the ferry port was some distance from our hotel. On arrival in Tallinn, we were met by Julianne, who was fantastic. She set a comfortable walking pace, shared fascinating insights into Tallinn’s history, and allowed us plenty of time to take photographs. Ulla stayed in contact throughout the day, and when we arrived back at the port, our driver was waiting to take us back to our hotel. Overall, it was a very well-organised, informative, and enjoyable experience. We would most definitely recommend this tour very highly.
Everything was taken care of from our pickup to our ferry ticket. The tour company stayed in touch through text the whole time, which made it easy to anticipate what was next. On top of the walking tour, you also have plenty of time to explore Tallinn on your own. I did this tour in the middle of February. And although it was cold, it was worth every minute.
It was beautiful scenery, old town is full of history. It was very windy and cold, but we enjoyed it. The tour company- Helsinki Tour, was very responsive to our questions
The hotel transfer and ferry ride was very smooth. We had only arrived in the early hours of the morning so thought the later start would be best. Not a good choice when making the best of our gift and battling jet lag plus early store closing on Sundays. Great historical knowledge shared by our guide but be prepared to go back through the areas to collect souvenirs and more pictures.
Wonderfully organised trip from start to finish. Communication from the tour company and especially Zoe was excellent throughout with clear instructions. The ferry ride was okay wth ample seating. The guide at Tallinn was Anastasia who was fantastic and passionate. Lots to see ad do in Tallinn. Free time was adequate. Lunch at Tallinn - try Olde Hansa. Dinner on the ferry - many options available. Highly recommended trip !
