10 min

Boring, disappointing

Boring! Got a boat to the first stop got off and we got to spend 25 mins there, that was the highlight! No idea if we passed Lady of the rock, we were told nothing, went into the blue cave straight back out. We went to the submarine caves! We got absolutely no information about anywhere we went, no interaction with the ‘guide’. Just a boat trip nothing special at all! Waste of money

Blue cave

The boats arrived late, so it caused chaos because they had to make up time. The ride was extremely uncomfortable because of speeding. The young driver and assistant were too busy about watching their phones to be concerned about our safety. They skipped a stop (Lady of the Rocks). so they could stay on schedule. We weren’t allowed to swim inside the Blue cave as it was indicated we could. We were allowed to swim about 5 minutes. We requested several times to slow down, but were ignored.

Avoid. Dangerous

We had already let the company know we had arrived at 11.40pm. Just after this the company cancelled our booking, told us to request a refund on get your guide and made us pay again on their card terminal if we wanted to go even though we wouldn’t get refunded for 5 days. Paid again, done half the tour then the driver was on his phone when driving and we were inches from colliding with another boat in the middle of the water. When he realised we were about to crash he put the boat from top gear to reverse and blew the engine. No one would come to help us and we then had to float back from the entrance of the bay to the dock which took 2 hours. We didn’t get near lady of the rock or perast even though it was included in the tour. There was 15 people on the boat and not only where our lives put at risk but we didn’t get to all the stops. Awful. Everyone asked the man back at the dock for a refund but he wouldn’t give us it. Turned out everyone on the boats reservations has been cancelled and had to pay twice aswell, said a refund will come after they contact their credit card company but after asking for a card refund or cash they refused saying it wasn’t possible that way

Overbooked and didn’t get...

Overbooked and didn’t get onto boat. They prioritize private party boat and prefer those young people to get on first. Then when it’s our turn with the elders and family, they just said all boats are at capacity and cannot let us on.

They do not fulfill what was announced

This experience does not match what was advertised. The activity provider did not give us either water or snorkeling equipment as advertised on Viator. On the boat. (Super fast) there were not enough life jackets for all the children, only two out of four that we had noted with ages. Viator, through whom I book the experience, is responsible for ensuring that what it advertises is what it truly provides.

Good value for the money, but late

We booked this excursion based in the ratings, the use of snorkel equip., and description. We had a difficult time finding the meet up point as Google wasn't working and the restaurant listed, was different than where stated to meet (Bonita99 vs Gyro King). We arrived before the suggested time and waited with several other families. The point of contact began gathering the large parties and ushering them on nice boats. He even called and waited on large parties who were late, meanwhile ignoring the smaller parties of 2 and 3. The operation was very disorganized. When we asked why we were not being called on, he stated the other parties were private tours and we were a group tour. Finally, the 9 remaining people were loaded on an older boat with no canopy/shade, and about 20 minutes past the tour time. The POC offered several excuses as to why the boat was late. After all the wait, we went to get fuel! Once the tour was underway, the captain was nice and the sights were beautiful, which helped to make up for the disorganization. However, the tour stated it included water and snorkel gear and neither were available nor provided. Also, the POC said we would be taken to 2 swim spots, but only made it to 1. So to anyone thinking of this tour I would say, its worth booking, bring your own water and snorkels and just manage your expectations.

Tour was great. Our captain was friendly and played fun music as we cruised the coast with beautiful views. We stopped at a cute little town for some pretty time and yummy gelato. The blue cave and getting to go into the ocean after for a dip was a real treat. My kids enjoyed it a lot. We all have a great time!

Nightmare trip, not the adventure booked

From about 5 mins into the trip it was quite obvious that the boats engine had a problem. The two very young men in charge were determined to continue even though the boat struggled to get any speed and was constantly juddering. We arrived in Perast a good 10 mins behind schedule so had to cut short our time spent here. Whilst trying to find something do in the little time we were given the captain (!) said they would look at the engine. So when we boarded the boat and set off at speed it was assumed by all passengers to now be fixed. HOW WRONG WE WERE. On board one of the passengers who owned a boat himself tried to explain that by reducing the excelleration on what he thought was a blocked filter it would be more beneficial. No they continued to push on trying to make it to the Blue cave. At one point the boat did get full power so they went full throttle crashing down on waves from high to the point one passenger was thrown across the boat nearly into the sea. Did I feel safe NO, were we advised about life jackets No, did these two young men laugh thinking this was amusing YES. At this point the passenger with knowledge on motors offered to look at the engines filter which he did. He then confirmed that yes the filter was blocked and needed cleaning. Eventually after I told them that I and other passengers felt unsafe and wanted to return back to Kotor the boat was turned around with us being told we will not have time now to go to the Blue Cave but then went ahead and took us to try and swim elsewhere when we thought we were heading back. At this point all passengers just wanted to get back, the boat was struggling so who knew if it would make it. What should have been 3hrs of enjoyment turned into a 41/2 hr nightmare without even seeing what was intended when booking this trip. Boat No 305KT should not have been on the water that day. I feel they should have replaced our boat in Perast. So would I recommend, definitely NO. We got No apology and NO refund. Having done many boat trips around the world this was by far my worst experience ever.
