Este museo resguarda el legado de Frida Kahlo y Diego Rivera en el espacio donde vivieron y crearon parte de su obra. Diseñado por el arquitecto y amigo cercano de Frida, Juan O’Gorman, este conjunto de dos casas unidas por un puente simboliza la independencia de ambos artistas y su conexión inquebrantable. La arquitectura funcionalista, con su estilo austero y lleno de luz natural, refleja la esencia del movimiento artístico de la época. En su interior, la casa de Frida conserva algunos de sus objetos personales, detalles decorativos que evocan su esencia y una atmósfera íntima que permite imaginar su día a día. Aunque más pequeña que la de Diego, su espacio refleja su carácter y sensibilidad artística. La casa de Diego, más amplia y con una gran colección de arte prehispánico, también alberga su estudio, donde aún se pueden ver sus bocetos, pinceles y herramientas de trabajo. Great guide! Very complete, allowed us to really get a great understanding of the building and the historical context
Our tour was cancelled day before due to private event in the museum. I had some discussion with the company to get just tickets without tour and initially was refused. At the end they agreed to give us just museum tickets but we were surprised at the end to have a guide Alex, he could not get in the building with us but we had amazing tour with him, he told us the story of the house, Friday and Diego and we really enjoyed it even standing outside the building. After that all we saw made sense. I would rate the guide very high but the company not that high
Vale was the perfect tour guide. Her knowledge of the history and context was so insightful. Having seen photos of the buildings with the bridge between their two studios, it was a special treat to visit and experience them in person.
We definitely got value-added from having a guide at the Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo. Valerie gave us basics about the architecture, filled us in on the artists’ lives and relationships (lots of drama), and knowledgeably answered our random questions.
We had an enjoyable experience at the Rivera-Kahlo studio house. Our guide Roman is knowledgeable and personable. It was interesting to learn about the lives of the two artists and the two houses connected by a bridge walkway. We also learned about the artist/architect O'Gorman who built the home.
The guide was super kind and very good at explaining the history of the building. He was also super nice and available if we had doubts or we needed help after the visit.

a small museum but an important experience - very intimate and you feel close to both Diego and Frida
Sofi was an excellent guide - wonderful knowledge, and great communication! The three houses work so well together and seeing the collections in Diego‘s house was really amazing!
Great tour, great communication with meeting details, but the best part was our guide Leonor. She spoke English very well and was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Diego and Frida’s lives.
