La bodega está situada muy cerca del puerto, con vistas a la magnífica caldera de Santorini. Fue construida en 1947 por la familia Venetsanos y se convirtió en la primera bodega industrial de la isla.
Esta finca vinícola establecida ha existido durante generaciones. Ahora en su cuarta generación, sigue produciendo vinos auténticos y vinos de los suelos volcánicos de Santorini.
Esta finca vinícola se encuentra en una playa, en el lado este de la isla, entre las aldeas de Kamari y Monolithos. Su edificio industrial de piedra fue una vez una fábrica de tomates, construida a principios de 1900 y se utilizó hasta la década de 1970 para hacer puré de tomate aromático a partir de tomates cherry locales. Hoy, se ha transformado en una bodega moderna con equipos de alta tecnología e instalaciones de última generación que garantizan una vinificación contemporánea y condiciones ideales para una producción de alta calidad.

Fundada en 1903, la familia Argyros tiene un legado en la elaboración del vino que abarca décadas. Como el mayor propietario de viñedos privados de Santorini, ahora tienen más de 120 hectáreas.
Sus orígenes se remontan a 1952. Está indisolublemente ligado a los viñedos volcánicos y la tradición vitivinícola de Santorini. Hoy en día, sus vinos siguen ganando premios en concursos internacionales y nacionales, siendo actualmente la tercera bodega más grande de Santorini en términos de volumen de producción.

If you're in Santorini and thinking about a wine tour, do this one. I booked with Giannis from Wineland Tours having basically no clue about wine, and he completely changed that in a few hours. By the end I could actually pick out the acidity in a glass, tell the different bottles apart, and I finally understood what makes Assyrtiko so special on this island. He explains it in a way that's easy to follow and never makes you feel out of your depth. Whether you're a wine person or a total beginner like I was, you'll get something out of it. Genuinely one of the highlights of the trip 🙏
Yiannis is a friendly and VERY knowledgable level three WSET sommelier. We so appreciated his willingness to have us experience 6+ varieties of grapes from Santorini. We learned so very much about grape growing here And plan to research Greek wine in the USA. What a beautiful island to walk and visit! It is a gem amongst the Greek Islands. Argyris was our wonderful tour guide. So friendly and knowledgeable. He took us first to Koutsogiannopoulos wine museum, which wasn’t the best. Then to to Estate Argyros and last to Venetsanos. All the wineries are paid for once you book this. You could probably ask to go to a different winery or even Santos which is more touristy but it is right next to Venetsanos. Highly recommend using or asking for him to be your guide.
