The first portion of this tour involves a history lesson through a self guided audio headset. You learn about the reason behind the bone church and then you enter the bone church. The bone church was a unique experience and you are allowed to take photos. I would not bring children here.
You do not really go into crypts but rooms decorated with bones. More like an exhibition. One room after another and you just follow the line of visitors
Hi there! The rooms decorated with bones are officially known as capuchin crypts.
I had to book a tour, and TripAdvisor sent me a message that I could go at any time. It was easier. Too bad there are no comments in French. Good experience.
Under an hour at own pace with audioguide. Booked through Viator so had no wait time. Very interesting tour.
Wasn’t sure what to expect, but was worth going. Museum with audio guide was interesting in understanding the background to it all and then the crypts were amazing but also very strange that people decided to make art with lots of dead bodies. Somewhere you can spend an hour or two if you have spare time.
The Museum experience ahead of seeing the actual crypts was excellent. Well displayed with excellent English translations of case labels. The crypts were fascinating and the audio tour was nicely done. A truly unique experience.
Cheaper to pay on the door - don’t need to pee book a time . I booked on line and it cost 42e when at the church it was 10e each

Beautifully designed museum about the Capuchin monks. Audio Guido conveys a lot of information in an entertaining and understandable way. The crypt is incredible and the church is also beautiful with its ceiling paintings
The guide never showed up. We went to the ticket counter and they let us in. Thankfully Viator refunded us. Other than that the place is eerily cool. The self audio guide is very good and worth listening to. Would recommend this excursion.
Dear Karen You have booked an audio guide visit that doesn't included actual tour guide.
Lots of steps to entrance, someone with mobility issues may struggle. Very interesting self audio that gives you the time to look at everything at leisure. Not to be rushed, excellent value for money. Humbling. Would very much advise a visit if into things like this
