Lovely Magic Hour tour with Soham. I wouldn’t have explored Calcutta like this on my own — every stop and experience felt thoughtful and special. What really stood out was Soham’s lovely rapport with the people we met along the way; it made the whole experience feel warm, personal and so much more enjoyable. A beautiful way to see a different side of the city. Highly recommend!
A most excellent opportunity to watch Kolkuta rub the sleep from its eyes in the company of the knowledgeable and enthusiastic Soham. Our guide, a native Kolkatan breathed life in to the City of Joy. A really well thought out circular trip encompassing boats, buses, bridges and taxis all soaked in the early doors light of magic hour.
Enjoyed a fantastic “magic hour” tour of Kolkata! One of the highlights of my trip to India!. The tour included both food (chai and separate breakfast) in local venues I never would have found on my own and incorporated local travel modes that also would have been difficult to navigate as a foreigner. Tour was so insightful and thoughtfully laid out. I would highly recommend and would go out of my way to take his other tours when back in Kolkata!!!
This was such an amazing tour! I got to watch the city early in the day, the layers. It was a walking tour mostly but I was also on a bus, a boat and it was such a unique experience with the locals. I loved the food, stories, flower market and learning about the goddess Kali. I highly recommend.
Great off-the-beaten-path tour of Kolkata with some must see stops. Soham was incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history. Highly recommended for both solo travelers and groups.

I believe the best time to visit anywhere is in the early morning so I booked this tour for my partner and myself. And here in Kolkata I was right! What an amazing tour. In a tough city to get to the nitty gritty you need a hand and joining Soham on the Magic hour tour was just the hand needed. He has put his heart and soul into this tour and his knowledge and passion about his home city was infectious. With a city like Kalkata you need to scratch deep for its magic once you see it you never forget it. Great tour great city. Get your lazy ass out of bed and book it! Highly recommended. Thanks 🙏🏽
Soham is lovely, do this tour! (Or any of his others!) He is knowledgeable, eloquent and engaging, and the time flew by very enjoyably. He is from Kolkata and obviously loves sharing his passion about it. He will point out things you otherwise wouldn’t notice. It was good to do this trip soon after we arrived to help us get our bearings and ask some general questions. We are very glad we booked it, and we are not early morning people!!!!
Very glad I made the last minute decision to book an early 530am Magic Hour tour with Soham. He was genuine, thoughtful, passionate and knowledgeable. The best walking tour I’ve done in Kolkatta. Thank you Soham for the amazing time!
Soham has created a fantastic tour, he’s a friendly, knowledgeable guide who taught us a lot about the city.
