Aunque somos la empresa original de avistamiento de ballenas en Juneau (en funcionamiento desde 1994), ¡todavía somos pequeños y de propiedad y operación familiar! Queremos que se sienta parte de la familia y nos enorgullecemos de priorizar las contrataciones locales para poder retribuir a nuestra comunidad y brindarle la mejor experiencia turística posible. ¡Queremos que nuestros guías amen Juneau tanto como tú! Nuestra flota se compone únicamente de lanchas a reacción amigables con los mamíferos, y el tamaño pequeño y el ambiente íntimo lo harán sentir como en casa con las ballenas. ¡Estamos orgullosos de nuestras rápidas transferencias entre vehículos! ¡No queremos que espere más de lo absolutamente necesario!

Itinerario
Lo dejarán en el área recreativa del glaciar Mendenhall para realizar una parada autoguiada. Podrá contemplar el glaciar desde Photo Point Outlook y pasar por exhibiciones educativas en el Centro de visitantes del glaciar Mendenhall. Si caminas por el paseo marítimo sobre los arroyos de salmón, es posible que tengas la oportunidad de ver salmones desovando, ¡o incluso un oso!
¡Tome una lancha motora amigable para los mamíferos desde el puerto de Auke Bay y explore las aguas que rodean Juneau en busca de la majestuosa ballena jorobada! ¡Este recorrido incluye dos horas en el agua donde un capitán experimentado lo llevará a donde estén las ballenas ese día!

The whale watching was great but the glacier we could have done on our own since we had rented a car.
The Mendenhall glacier visit was great, absolutely beautiful, and the 2 mile walk was the perfect distance to see a beautiful view complete with waterfall. Be sure to climb the steps of the visitor center to get the best view of the glacier. Can’t remember the name of the boat, but it was purple with CJ as the captain. Wonderful experience with a knowledgeable guide and more whale viewing than I would have anticipated.
We were very pleased with the staff and experience. It was rainy but we were able to see some whales. They were very informative and served us snacks and water, coffee and hot chocolate.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hands down, one of the most exhilarating experiences of our lives! Libby was an incredible naturalist and so knowledgeable. Captain Austin did an amazing job getting us incredible views while always respecting the animals. The entire experience exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our Alaska trip. We can’t recommend this excursion enough!
Everything was great. We had a tight schedule to get back to the cruise ship. They guaranteed we would make it in time and we did. The easy hike to the waterfall at the glacier is totally worth it.
Beyond a poor experience… as we exited bus to see the glacier, McKinley, the tour bus operator didn’t take a head count. He gave us a “test” re: his name, bus number, and pick up time. We choose the shorter route to explore glacier because he was so adamant about punctuality and the fact that bus drivers are pressured to move quickly at pick up, the “wardens” make them move on. Well, he “moved on all right”! He went right by us as we stood at the pick up benches. He pulled out and flew past two waiting buses and drove off. Another driver, Debbie, from his company drove up and kindly made sure that the company knew we were stranded. She advised that Daniel or Elijah would be in a position to drop us off in Juneau. The park staff said these would be the last 2 buses to Juneau. It was disgusting because we couldn’t go to the whale watch and other whale watch excursions were fully booked on our cruise. We are elderly, and won’t be back to Alaska. We had hoped seeing beautiful whales would be a highlight for this long planned for vacation. Shame on the bus operator for his haste and lack of concern for old folks. McKinley not the right person for this type of job.
Amazing!!! We saw so many things- Ocras, humpbacks, sea otter, and sea lions! The captain went out of his way to make sure we had a phenomenal experience!
Our whale watching trip by boat was great! We saw several humpbacks spouting and sounding with their tail flukes in the air. Savannah, our wonderful naturalist on board, told us how to find out the identity of the individual whales by sending photos to a website. We laughed at the Stellar sealions as they competed for space on a buoy. The crew served us hot chocolate and snacks during the trip as well. Next, we drove to the Mendenhall Glacier. The Nugget Falls were mind-blowing with their powerful flow of water. I highly recommend this excursion!
We had an excellent time whale watching. The team (Katherine, Savannah, Captain CJ and Charlie), took really good care of us. We saw plenty of hunch back whales and sea lions. Katherine gave a wonderful talk on whales. We have a daughter with special needs and she was able to enjoy the entire tour thoroughly. Highly recommend this tour!!
This was a fun excursion. My spouse became ill prior to the excursion and couldn't go. They refunded her ticket the morning of. Super easy to work with. Saw planty of Humpback Whales.
