Su aventura comienza en nuestro muelle privado en Puerto Juárez. A su llegada, disfrute de un ligero descanso de café mientras se reúne con su guía y el resto del grupo. Antes de abordar, su guía le proporcionará una sesión informativa sobre seguridad, le explicará el itinerario del día y compartirá consejos útiles para nadar con los tiburones ballena. Una vez que todos estén listos, es hora de abordar el barco y salir en busca de estos magníficos gigantes gentiles.
Después de salir de nuestro muelle privado en Puerto Juárez, navegará a través de las aguas cristalinas turquesas del Caribe mexicano. En el camino, pasarás por la hermosa costa de Isla Mujeres antes de dirigirte más lejos en la costa, donde el mar se transforma en profundos y vibrantes tonos azules. Durante el viaje, manténgase atento a los delfines, tortugas marinas, rayas y aves marinas, que a menudo se observan a lo largo de la ruta. A medida que te acercas a la zona de alimentación del tiburón ballena, tu guía te ayudará a buscar las primeras señales de estos magníficos gigantes suaves, haciendo que la anticipación sea parte de la aventura en sí.
Una vez que lleguemos a la zona del tiburón ballena, el capitán y el guía buscarán las mejores oportunidades para acercarse con seguridad a estos magníficos animales respetando todas las normas de conservación. Cuando sea tu turno, entrarás en el agua en pareja con tu guía certificado para una experiencia inolvidable de buceo junto a los peces más grandes del mundo. Nuestros tours en grupos pequeños maximizan sus posibilidades de disfrutar de hasta dos baños por persona, dependiendo de las condiciones del mar, la actividad de vida silvestre y las regulaciones del parque. Entre nadadas, relájese en el barco y observe la increíble acción mientras tiburones ballena, mantarrayas gigantes y otra vida marina se alimentan en las cristalinas aguas del Caribe. Este es un encuentro de vida silvestre verdaderamente único y una de las experiencias más memorables que el Caribe mexicano tiene para ofrecer.
En nuestra última parada fondearemos frente a la mundialmente famosa Playa Norte de Isla Mujeres. Este lugar idílico es famoso por sus suaves arenas blancas, aguas cristalinas de color turquesa y una atmósfera vibrante. Compartiremos un almuerzo típico caribeño que incluye un delicioso ceviche, guacamole cremoso y totopos crujientes. Luego, celebre el día chapoteando en las cálidas y poco profundas aguas o simplemente relájese y tome el sol en la prístina playa.

Sin embargo, esta duración puede extenderse debido a las condiciones climáticas, la ubicación de los tiburones ballena y la cantidad de oportunidades para nadar. Además, el tiempo de traslado desde su hotel a nuestro muelle varía según su ubicación y las condiciones actuales del tráfico. Incluyendo los traslados, se espera que el recorrido completo dure entre 7 y 12 horas.

This week, we joined a whale shark tour with Ocean Tours Mexico, and it was honestly one of the best experiences of our lives. Even a few days later, we’re still talking about it and struggling to find the right words to describe how magical it was. The tour starts from Los Flamingos, and after about an hour by boat, you reach the area where the whale sharks are. Everyone gets two chances to swim with them, and my husband and I did it together. Swimming next to these incredible animals, while always respecting the safety rules and with the guides looking after us, was something we’ll never forget. It was such an emotional moment. After the swims, we stopped for some snorkeling before heading to Isla Mujeres for lunch, where we had fresh ceviche and guacamole. It was the perfect way to finish the day. A special thank you to our guide, Margot (Margarita). From 6 a.m., she was full of energy, always smiling, funny, and she explained everything so well. She really made the experience even better. Thank you as well to Max, who was so kind and helpful throughout the day. And of course, thank you to the captain, the skipper, and the whole crew. Everyone was friendly, professional, and clearly loves what they do. Thank you all for giving us an experience we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. We couldn’t recommend Ocean Tours Mexico more.

The tour with Ismael was very well organized and he explained everything perfectly. Swimming with the whale sharks was a dream of ours—and it was truly dreamy. There were many whale sharks and each of us was able to swim or snorkel with them twice. A magical experience! Ismael from Ocean Tours gave us a sense of security with his clear instructions and made everything very relaxed. The team on board, our captain Chac and Alan, positioned us perfectly every time so we could swim with the whale sharks for as long and as close as possible. And they prepared an exquisite lunch for us with fresh ceviche and guacamole with tortilla chips—which we ate on the boat at the beach off Isla Mujeres, after a swim with "una cervicita."

We had the most amazing experience with our guide, Margot. She was very focused on the respect for the whale sharks and their environment. She grieve extensive and clear instructions and was patient to ensure that we all were able to have two jumps with the whale sharks. Additionally, the snorkeling at the reef and the time at the beach for the lunch just added to the experience.

We were out with Nils for a second time and it was off to the whale sharks. The pickup from Playa del Carmen was very early, but that way we were one of the first groups. We saw the whale sharks after a 50-minute boat ride and then we started right away. The briefing took place in the car or before the boat trip. A great experience to see the animals and swim with them. Nils took great care of our children here as well and held their hands while swimming. This way they were able to experience it perfectly. Afterwards there was a small snorkeling tour at Isla Mujeres and lunch in the water. The day was very exhausting, but it is definitely worth it. You probably only do this once.
