Estos "administradores de gestión del agua" aún persistentes y en servicio le contarán la historia sobre el gato que salvó la vida de un joven humano.

La principal estación de tren de la ciudad de Róterdam recibe una media de 170 000 pasajeros al día. Uno de los mayores hitos arquitectónicos de la ciudad.
El edificio del siglo XVII, antigua sede de Waterschap Schieland, institución responsable de la política y gestión del agua en esta parte de Holanda Meridional, una vez lugar de alojamiento temporal de Napoleón Bonaparte
Edificio de estilo gótico tardío de 1525 y al mismo tiempo el edificio más antiguo de la ciudad de Rotterdam. Uno de los varios edificios rara vez sobrevivió al bombardeo nazi el 15 de mayo de 1940.
Monumento en honor a Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus alias Erasmo de Rotterdam, uno de los más grandes filósofos, teólogos, eruditos, sacerdote del siglo XVI. Muchos edificios públicos, estructuras e instituciones educativas llevan el nombre de este famoso Rotterdammer.
Edificio moderno situado en una de las plazas más grandes de Róterdam en forma de herradura: mercado cerrado combinado con espacio habitable e instalaciones, también apodado "La Capilla Sixtina de Róterdam"
Edificios atípicos con aspecto de árbol con apartamentos en forma de cubo en la parte superior de las columnas de soporte. Debido a su forma, solo 3/4 del espacio interior es adecuado y utilizable para la vida común.
Uno de los puertos más antiguos (¡pero no el más antiguo!) de la Róterdam medieval, antigua desembocadura del río Rotte al río New Meuse. Hoy en día es el lugar de reunión favorito de los ciudadanos de Róterdam con multitud de cafeterías, restaurantes, tabernas, discotecas...
Una vez que el edificio más alto y el primer rascacielos de Europa se erigió en 1898. Al igual que muchos edificios en Ámsterdam, este edificio también está construido sobre 1000 pilares de madera.
También llamado "El Puente Rojo", dedicado a Willem III, es uno de los tres puentes de Róterdam que conectan la parte central y norte de la ciudad con los distritos del sur.
Enorme construcción de acero que significa "El ascensor" una vez sirvió como puente de tren "giratorio" y "elevador" a través del río New Meuse. El puente estaba en servicio antes de que el túnel ferroviario pasara bajo el río.
El memorial de guerra colocado en el terraplén derecho del río New Meuse. Conmemora a las 3500 personas a bordo de barcos mercantes holandeses que perdieron la vida en la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Leuvehaven - es un museo marítimo al aire libre. La gran colección de barcos de vapor, máquinas y equipos de carga de atraque, motores de barcos y otros objetos relacionados o relacionados con la marina y la navegación desde mediados del siglo XIX hasta los años 70 del siglo pasado.
Este puente colgante es el puente más joven de Róterdam que cruza New Meuse... y sin duda el puente más popular y conocido. Uno de los mayores símbolos e imágenes de esta ciudad también llamada "El Cisne" o "El Arpa", 139m de altura con la "parte abierta" de puente más grande y pesada de Europa, 80 m de largo.
Área pintoresca con 19 molinos de viento de pólder únicos y auténticos de la primera mitad del siglo XVIII a una distancia de 25 km de Róterdam. El mejor ejemplo de gestión del agua holandesa eficiente y bien organizada a lo largo de los siglos.

Had a great time doing the walking tour of Rotterdam with Alex! We really enjoyed Kinderdijk and seeing the different windmills via boat. One of the best moments was having lunch with Alex and talking about each other’s countries and experiences. We recommend Alex as a tour guide!
Alex is the best guide we’ve ever had & we’ve had many. He kept us informed before we met in Rotterdam. He is so knowledgeable and obviously proud of his city. It seemed every local knew him!! He took us to Kinderdijk and gave us a tour of Rotterdam, and even included the delicious patatje oorlog (loaded French fries)! Do not hesitate to book with Alex! You will not be disappointed!!

We really enjoyed this tour. Alex did a great job of pointing out all of the sites. He was very knowledgeable about Rotterdam, Kinderdijk and the history of these locations. Both places are very walkable (this tour would not be a good option if you have mobility concerns). We would highly recommend this tour!!

My husband and I spent the day with Alex touring Kinderdijk and Rotterdam. We met Alex at the Brussels train station. He recommended going to see the windmills of Kinderdijk first which was great. Alex spoke a lot about the history of Rotterdam and the windmills during our boat ride to Kinderdijk. He is very knowledgeable and enjoyed all of his discussions. He was very attentive to us and we moved at an easy pace. We really enjoyed the Kinderdijk area and moved on to Rotterdam. We enjoyed local beer and frites just as the locals. It was a full day and Alex kept us interested and we were very happy to spend the day with him! I would highly recommend Alex and his tour!

Just do it! My family and I (my husband and 3 kids) , we spent great ( fortunately sunny !!!) day with Alex two days ago. We are in modern architecture (Rotterdam is right place or it) and we came from Brussels by train ( very good and nice train connection). Kids were marveled by windmills and animals they saw in this area.. :) I have no other words, simply, Alex was great! Big knowledge about history of Netherlands (and Lowlands at all) in particular Rotterdam, he provided us plenty of information about meaning of polders, windmills, water management in Netherlands.. We were invited to taste local snack " potatoes war" ... :) We got even much more information about Belgium ( and we regret because we didn't contact and hire this guy even earlier (he organize tours in Belgium and Luxembourg as well). Transportation by water taxi from Rotterdam to Kinderdijk and back was also insured ( included in tour price) by this guy so we had less concerns about it. What an incredible day my husband and I had with our guide Aleks. He was so full of information and we could see the joy he had in sharing it with us and showing us his city. We took a boat ride to see the windmills in Kinderjik and spent the rest of the day touring Rotterdam. We stopped for lunch and took time to get to know each other. I highly recommend his tour.
