Be prepared to have an engaging history lesson. Benjamin is so knowledgeable and passionate about Jewish history and culture! Also plan for your shoulders to be covered if you are a woman, men should where a hat or will be given a disposable yamaka.
The 4 hour tour is only 2.5 hours maybe 3 and does not include a beverage and cake at the end. It doesn’t include ear piece and if it’s a large group you would not be able to hear. Thankfully I was a part of a smaller group. Petra knew her stuff and was very good.
The tour was extremely moving and very informative. Dora, our guide, was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the history and the tragedy. We highly recommend the tour.
Dora was our tour guide and she was very informative. So much to see and such important history for the world to see and be aware of and never repeat. Had no idea how ornate some synagogues were in the past as they're just gorgeous. One thing I would add is to make sure in your listing that people know women need their shoulders and knees covered when going into the shuls.
Excellent tour. Sign up for the “grand tour” vs the “essential”. You see more of the Ghetto as well as a jewel of a smaller, 3rd, synagogue. The cemetery at the main synagogue is very thought provoking. Take your time. Guide was thoroughly knowledgeable and fluent in English.
Dora was by far the best guide we’ve ever had. She was knowledgeable, kind, perceptive and accommodating.
Dora was an excellent guide!! So knowledgable and compassionate. I would recommend this tour in a heartbeat!!!
Excellent tour. Benjamin is an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable and lively, and his (American accent) English is amazing for someone who has never lived in the U.S. We did the Grand Tour, and the second synagogue in Secession style is worth seeing. Highly recommend
Dora was so wonderful!!! She was so knowledgeable and kind I would not hesitate to do it again!! Glad I did it!
We recommend the essential Jewish Heritage tour with Dora. She was comprehensive and knowledgeable. She would answer any questions we had.
