La Basílica de Santa Chiara fue construida en la colina opuesta a la Basílica de San Francesco. Las dos basílicas, con fachadas inspiradas en el modelo románico, parecen dialogar a través de su sencillez. Ambos tienen un tímpano triangular y un rosetón central que simboliza un abrazo espiritual hacia los peregrinos que pasan por las calles de Asís.
El Museo Diocesano y Cripta de San Rufino se encuentra en Asís, junto a la Catedral de San Rufino, y es un espacio rico en historia y arte sacro. El museo está ubicado en salas medievales, incluyendo habitaciones decoradas y claustros antiguos. En su interior, se exhiben obras de arte sacro de la catedral y las iglesias de la zona.
El Santuario se encuentra en el lugar tradicionalmente identificado como el lugar de nacimiento de San Francisco. En 1615, los Frailes Menores, gracias al apoyo económico de Felipe III, rey de España, transformaron este espacio en iglesia, dando inicio a la vida comunitaria y a las celebraciones litúrgicas.
La Rocca di Assisi es un complejo fortificado formado por dos estructuras principales: la Rocca Maggiore y la Rocca Minore, también conocida como Cassero di Sant’Antonio. Ambos están hechos con la típica piedra rosa de Asís.

Construido a finales del siglo XIII, el palacio fue diseñado como sede del Capitano del Popolo, figura que representaba el poder del Municipio de Asís. El Capitano era responsable de mantener el orden y administrar justicia, un papel central en la política medieval de la ciudad.
El área arqueológica del Foro Romano de la antigua ciudad de Asisium se encuentra bajo la actual Piazza del Comune y fue descubierta gracias a las excavaciones realizadas por un arquitecto francés en la primera mitad del siglo XIX. Hoy en día, es posible visitarla accediendo a la cripta de la antigua Iglesia de San Niccolò, ubicada en Vía Pórtico.
Este lugar fue construido en 1457 por orden de la hermandad de Sant’Antonio Abate y San Giacomo, fue creado para permitir a los peregrinos acogidos en el hospital cercano participar en funciones religiosas.El interior tiene planta cuadrada, con bóveda de crucería y muros pintados al fresco.
Cuando San Francisco murió en 1226, se decidió inmediatamente construir una basílica en su honor para contener sus reliquias. I found the tour difficult to use and limited in the information it provided. It was confusing to go between the locations and I got lostbecause it did not directly show them on a map. And when I went to my Google maps, I then often lost my place in the tour. Because attractions are far apart and frequently involve many stairs and I was walking in the hot sun, it would’ve been helpful for the Guide to explain the route before starting off to that location. Luckily, most of the cathedrals also had some signs with explanations in English but I felt I missed out on importantinformation I would’ve had with an actual live tour guide. And I almost missed seeing some of the main things because they were not mentioned. I have used audio guides for other places that were far superior. I would have liked more information about the important places and to skip the restaurant recommendations.
It was OK for the money but I expected more detail about the decoration of the different churches especially St Francesco.

I really liked this guide’s information and structure. The information was succinct and informational, without taking up too much time over explaining unnecessarily. The locations it took me to were ones a lot of guides didn’t mention, or I didn’t think about. Great value for the price. However, I do feel that the website and style was outdated. The google map that was used was an older version, I would have preferred it to work in the Google Maps app. I ended up transcribing all the locations into the app for a better functioning route. TLDR: liked the actual tour, the website could use some updating work.
It’s a great way to see Assisi but it requires internet. Some areas of Assisi have weak internet and you lose the connection.

Some people in our group had trouble with loading/reloading the audio. The reason I am rating as just average is because the content was more general in nature. I would've liked more specifics/details about what I was looking at for the stops on the tour. Overall it is a good value for the price and allows you to have a more relaxed experience to tour Assisi.
This is the third tour I've taken with Walking Cap. All three were very informative. It took a little time to figure out how to use the app, but once I did it was easy. Walking Cap is a very I expensive alternative to a full on tour. The nice thing is you are not on the tour guides schedule. If you want to eat you can. If something different catches your eye, you can go explore. I will definitely use it i. The future.!

After some initia confusion over how the app works and if we could use it in a poor internet/phone signal area we actually found that our fears were unfounded. The Information was complete, but concise and it was great that we could do the tour at our speed.
