We paid on viator what was advertised as a pretty steep discounted rate. After booking on violator we received a confirmation that included a balance of $600 pesos per person plus an additional $20US dollars person. Which was not mentioned in initial booking process. The catamaran was overbooked. There was no space for everyone to sit comfortably on the benches, we were asked to sit on the floor. My guess is they also did not have enough life vests for everyone on board. When it came time for snorkeling, they dropped you in the middle of the ocean and asked you to grab the rope to go back on the boat because the boat would not stay in one location while you snorkel. The issue was that there were so many people on the rope not everyone was able to grab it. After trying and being exhausted the catamaran left and we were in the middle of the ocean waiting for one of the smaller “rescue” boats to pick us to and take us back to the catamaran. There was no head count once we were on the catamaran . I don’t think they would ever know if someone didn’t make it back. Once we got to Islas Mujelles, the food was awful. So bad that we had to order à la cart and pay separately. Back on the catamaran the drinks were watered down. All in all, I would not recommend this experience. Overall this experience costs us significantly more than it was advertised and the experience was subpar
Dear Darling: the conservation fee and dock fee are state in the section of included in the listing. Yes we have the security measures all the time , we know how many people are in the boat how many web t to snorkel, we have the boat of rescue to all those the current ( because it’s the sea not a people ) move from the snorkeling spot
This is a scam. Avoid. At arrival we were forced additonal money in the value five fold of the original cost. With no prior indication. The boat is poor quality, the smorkeing location has hardly any fish, no corals. You are dropped at a commercial location where you get some very questionae food in a very questionable place. We did not touch any of it, nor the drinks on the boat. Spare yourself this discomfort.
This was hands down the highlight of our family vacation! We traveled with our kids, and every single moment was incredible. The crew was friendly, attentive, and amazing with children, making us feel safe and welcome from start to finish. The turquoise water, snorkeling, food and time at Isla Mujeres were absolutely breathtaking. Everything was perfectly organized, and the entire experience felt effortless and unforgettable. We've done many excursions over the years, but this one was truly in a league of its own. If you're looking for an unforgettable family adventure, don't think twice—book this tour. You won't regret it!
The boat experience wonderful but when you reserve with trip advisor it's just like a deposit. They will charge you the actual cost of your ticket, conservation costs and more that you don't even understand!! Get ready because it's expensive....
It was absolutely fun! The staff members were so much fun! We rented a golf cart for an hour and it was worth every penny.
Great day on the water. The photographer did a great job posing for the best outcome for pictures, Bartenders were fast but watered down alcohol. The snorkeling was fun but there weren’t many tropical fish to look at. White sandy beaches, & warm waters were heavenly. If you want to just have fun on the boat & beach I highly recommend.
Wonderful day !! Excelente service , the food was ok but tasty ! The snorkel was amazing !! Just bring sunscreen.
Overall I had an amazing experience with this tour. Pick up is not included but you contact them they will have a fee mines was 20 round trip (Quintana Roo area Cancun hotel) . I did call before hand and made reservations. They sent me a payment and all was secure. They will contact you the day before for pick up if you chose this route or you can just meet them at the location if you have a car rental. I did not rental a car so im not sure how the parking works. Sorry. However upon arrival but patient because the Check in line is massive and there is so many people it can be over whelming but they move at a decent rate. Be mindful to bring your money as listed on the details you must pay port fee and taxes when you arrive. I had read in advance and asked these questions when I called to make my ride but it does say in the details under what is and is not included on Viator. ( I use them to book always.) Taxes is about $20 and dock fee is like $35. They do accept card which is a plus. Boat ride was amazing. They stop to snorkel in a small reef. I saw a lot of fishes. There is a few other boat so they do say to pay attention so you don't get lost. I was recording with my 360 cam and I did get lost. All my fault but I was two boats down. I swan back in time to catch up with my boat but be mindful. I was completely underwater not listening whatsoever but that's all on me. All the snorkeling and life vest are included and they will help you put them on if needed. Photo guy on boat is amazing. Def take the pics before you jump. You will love them and buy it. I paid $90 for all the printed pics and digital but I did travel alone and the pics are amazing. After your don't snorkeling you can start to drink. Im not big drinker but I had one Margarita on the way there. Buffet upon arrival is available ASAP. They recommend you eat and then explore as buffet has allowed times for other boats arrival for the day so you can miss out if you don't take advantage. Food was okay for me but I got a table ocean front. Loved the view. I am a very picky eater so again that's on me too. I. still found some solid choices to eat. Chairs and umbrellas are not included but as you walk around you will find so many different beach clubs so don't settle for the first ones you see. Island is pretty small. I ended up being sold on a Golf cart and let me tell you guys this made the trip 1000x better. I went down to the south end. The statues I saw were literally amazing and the views are quite literally breathtaking. I'm so glad I did that. I rented for an hour and I took longer than expected since South side of the island has so much to see but the guy was nice and waited for me a couple minutes more. I would recommend to pay in pesos if you have it. I came back after taking that long hike in the Southside to see the statuses. I ended up being so hot I finished the day off jumping in the beach to shower and enjoy the beautiful water. Water was great not rough and very shallow so if you have little ones. Its amazing. I floated for a few then went to shower off and change my clothes for a ride boat ride back. I ended up having another Margarita on the boat ride back and the staff did not disappoint with entertainment.I had a great time. Be mindful all these tour guys make a living mostly off tips so do be nice. Anyways I hope this review helps. I would def. book again.
The crew on the Ventus was amazing. Despite choppy seas, we were still able to snorkel and see beautiful coral reef. Drinks after snorkeling were endless with the crew dancing and great energy/ vibes. So far our most entertaining experience in Mexico. The island was also beautiful to relax on.
The ad does not make clear the fees that will be paid in Porto. Taxes are more expensive than the ride. Better buy translation directly in Porto. The low cost fold at the exit of the tour (check-in)
The taxes are clearly stated in the corresponding sections. Please read all the product information carefully before booking.
