El volcán del Totumo es un cono volcánico lleno de lodo, que se encuentra ubicado en la zona rural del municipio de Santa Catalina (Bolívar), en la Región Caribe de Colombia, junto a la Ciénaga del Totumo y cerca de la frontera con el departamento del Atlántico. Los corregimientos de Loma de Arena, Galerazamba y Pueblo Nuevo son los más cercanos al mismo. La formación presenta una escasa elevación (aproximadamente de veinte metros) para llegar a su cráter es preciso ascender por una rústica escalera de madera.
Galerazamba, es un corregimiento colombiano ubicado en el municipio de Santa Catalina en Bolívar, a 68 km al noreste de Cartagena de Indias hermoso en el que se encuentra el atractivo Mar rosa. Es conocido por sus Salinas rosadas, llamadas el mar rosado de Colombia
Estas playas es que suelen ser poco visitadas y por eso su estancia es más tranquila a diferencia de otras como Playa Bocagrande que por su fama el turismo es mucho mayor, lo que para el turista es un punto a favor junto con los excelentes planes y paquetes que incluyen a la Boquilla como destino destacado en Cartagena de Indias Caribe de Colombia.

A cool experience and massages while floating in the mud were great! They view from the top was nice. Take small bills because they def want a tip!!! That’s why I gave it a four instead of five. The area where you get in the mud was smaller than I thought.
The place is dirty, the bathrooms that offer disgusting and dirty, the “masseurs” are lords who remove the mud and although you don’t want to insist and charge you even to shake hands to get out of the mud, the “lagoon” is a dirty and smelly river entrance, also on our tour we were taken to lunch simple and basic food to a hotel with 5 dirty pools and no drop of shade... all in 6 hours... in short DON’T DO it if you don’t want to waste your time and money

The provider delayed the tour with one day , its okay , but in the expected day he did not picked up me . I lost 1 day in my trip doing nothing and missing tortumo experience

It was amazing and l enjoyed my time a lot Tour guide Jose and driver Louis were friendly and helpful I recommend all Colombia visitors to visit and enjoy the mud
The agency communicates with me and tells me that the stop in pink sea will not do and that they take me to a hotel with a swimming pool. It doesn’t really fulfill what was offered on the tour and I’m waiting for the refund of my money, understanding that the agency tells me to cancel the tour that they will refund my money. They charge first before notifying that the tour is not how they sell it.
buenas , nos comunicamos con usted le explicamos que debido a las lluvias el mar no estaba en su tono ideal, se le dio una opcion de tour usted no la tomo.Usted cancela el tour y la aplicacion por donde usted realizo la reserva es la encargada de hacer la devolucion , nuestra agencia no tiene su dinero, comuniquese con la aplicacion y solicite el rembolso total y ellos deben responder . Le repito no tenemos su dinero.
The tour was nice, the mud bath amazing, the cleaning ladies at the river to wash off the mud were funny although a bit aggressive with some folks for a tip... But they did such a good job washing us off and making us laugh, I had no problem tipping..
Glad we did this but probably won't do it again. The tour is exceptional and the people at the volcano are very helpful and super nice. It was the actual mud experience that was a little gross to me - mud was thick, gritty and had things floating in it. You will be touched a lot on this one, nothing inappropriate. They will help you down the ladder, push you over to the massage if you wish to be massaged (we didn't), then will wipe the excess mud off you before you get all the way out and then when you go to the lake the rinse off, the ladies there will help you rinse off. Nothing was uncomfortable for us, just a little surprising.
the mud soak was an experience could have done without the salt sea lunch was excellent overall a good tour
Our tour was sapose to start at 8 but we drove in circles for 2 hours before even heading to the volcano which isn’t the tour guides fault but was frustrating the rest of our tour was mediocre but the volcano was cool. Locals were hella pushy and wouldn’t stop touching me which was weird thankfully the tour guide did ask them to back off after but the river ladies were nice.
