My family enjoyed the walking tour of Thessaloniki with Vasiliki, who is a very knowledgable guide. It turned out to be a private tour for our family. It was good to hear the history and learn how the city changed over time through the greek, roman, byzantine, and ottoman rules.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback! We are delighted that you and your family had a special time exploring Thessaloniki with us. Wishing you all wonderful travels ahead!
Vasiliki is one of the best-informed guides that we have ever encountered. Based on specific requests, she came prepared with huge quantities of photographs and other relevant material to broaden her explanations as she walked us through the historical sites in the center of Thessaloniki. It was a splendid day.
We are incredibly grateful for this wonderful review! Vasiliki pours her heart into tailoring every single tour, so knowing that her dedication made your day memorable means the world to us. We hope to welcome you back for more discoveries in the future!
Tour guide Vasiliki was on time for pick up - actually she was a bit earlier which was nice Vasiliki’s knowledge and enthusiasm was shown through her VERY WELL prepared sets (plural) of laminated cards of pictures and information - bringing the history to life Her story telling was great and well structured and the many ‘secrets’ of the city locations & events made the tour enjoyable Thank you and keep bringing the History Alive!!! P.S. all your other recommendations for clothes, luggage and restaurants were good - been to ALL of them. Thank you
Thank you, Ariane, for such a wonderful and detailed review! We are so glad that you enjoyed the tour and Vasiliki’s storytelling. It is also great to hear that you made the most of our recommendations! Thank you for choosing Dot2Dot. We truly appreciate your support and hope to welcome you back one day!
Vasiliki and her tour partner at Dot 2 Dot- hands down- have the vibe on the city not only as contemporary women, but as accomplished scholars! She makes it thoughtful and fun at the same time, while accommodating your own ADD if you want to look at something and veer off. The price is worth it. Their education is worth it. You make a lifelong friend. I can't say enough about what I learned regarding all the occupations, the sites, the flavor the texture the everything of Thessaloniki! You have friends now in Colorado, Vasiliki!!! Xoxo (we know you are royalty!).
Thank you so much for your beautiful words, dear Anne-Marie! We’re truly touched by your message and so happy that you enjoyed discovering Thessaloniki with us. It was a joy to share the city’s stories - and even more rewarding to connect with such enthusiastic travelers! You definitely have friends here in Thessaloniki too, and we’ll be waiting to explore even more together next time you visit. Sending our warm greetings all the way to Colorado! 💙
The storytelling, and photographs bought the history alive and meant we gained a real appreciation of just some of the history of this important city. Vassalekey was outstanding and included just the right amount of info for us to absorb and process. What a delight she was, her passion, knowledge and pace of the tour means we left feeling really pleased we had booked this tour.
Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re delighted to hear how much you enjoyed exploring Thessaloniki's history with us. We’d love to welcome you back for another memorable experience! Safe travels on your cruise!
Our tour guide was excellent and was a superb historian. We greatly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed the tour and hope to welcome you again!
Deniz was very professional and full of interesting stories. Of course he was very knowledgeable about the sites we had planned to visit but was also very interesting to talk to about general culture and in particular about fine rugs from the area. Definitely a memorable tour!
Dot2dot is the MUST experience in Thessaloniki. I had attended in the past private tours, so I hired them in a corporate event as well. All my guests were super excited and enjoyed the experience! Trust the experience and enjoy!
Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so happy to hear that everyone enjoyed the experience. We look forward to welcoming you and your guests again in the future!
Our guides were great. I would highly recommend them. We spent a full 3 hours learning of the history of Thessaloniki from 400 BC through the present day. Their ability to speak English was pretty good. We probably walked about 3 kilometers total and sat down several times while they spoke.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We're delighted you enjoyed the tour and truly appreciate your recommendation.
I love the way the introduce you to the history of this town. Bringing to life old stories so you can be a part of it and see the old days.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us this review. We are very glad to know that you enjoyed the tour and hope to see you again in the future!
