Was guided through the rainforest. Definitely needed a guide to spot animals in otherwise would have missed
Thank you very much for your review. It is very appreciated.
Excellent, knowledgeable guide
Thank you very much for your review. We really appreciate it
Our nature walk through the Soberania National Park with Christian was quite the experience. Christian helped us spot howler monkey, capuchin monkeys, coatl, agouti, and many different birds. The walk can be long and hot, so be sure to prepare kids accordingly and perhaps give the guide reasonable expectations for what the kids can handle. Make sure to bring water and snacks. I would definitely recommend going early and while a guide may not be necessary, it certainly made our experience more enjoyable!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review!. I am really glad you enjoyed the experience and had the chance to spot so much wildlife. You’re absolutely right about coming prepared and starting early, especially with kids, to make the most of the walk. I truly appreciate your recommendation.
A nice easy hike, mostly flat and shaded (but still hot!). We saw a lot of howler monkeys and various birds.
Thank you for your review! Glad you enjoyed the hike and the wildlife. Hope to have you back for another adventure 😊
Christian went above and beyond as our guide. He's highly knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. I went with my 71-year-old parents and the walk was easy for them because it's pretty flat and we stopped often to look at wildlife. I highly recommend this activity; it wouldn't have been nearly as great if we went without a guide to point things out.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It was truly a pleasure showing you and your parents around. I’m really glad you enjoyed the walk and that the pace worked well for everyone. The area has amazing wildlife, and it’s always great to share those moments with guests who appreciate it.
Walked on a road, not a trail. Wasn’t a wilderness experience with cars on the road. Not a good value.
thanks for your review. It is important to us. The authorities of the park are working to improve the road before the raining season, that is why you saw cars passing by and workers. It will be finish very soon and hopefully it will go back to normal regarding the trail.
We saw several different kinds of birds, howler monkeys and white-faced capuchin, and a couple of agoutis. This was an educational hike which included not only information about the animals and plants we encountered, but our guide also answered many questions about Panama itself.
Thank you very much for your time and for your review. We are glad you've enjoyed the experience.
Nico, our guide has a degree in Biology and was so knowledgeable about all the fauna & flora along the trail. He made the drive interesting discussing Panama history, geography, anthropology, and culture. He was a superb hiking guide. He was able to spot animals, birds, insects and plants that we never would have seen on our own. In 3 hours along a flat wide path, we saw 10 species of birds, including the Collard Aracati (small toucan), the Yellow-Headed Caracara, and several species of Trogon. We saw a pack of Howler Monkeys, several 3 Toed Sloths, and many agouti. He also pointed out the millions of leaf cutter ants, termites, and millipedes. And we also saw tiny fish and large river crabs. His professional camera made it easy for us to see the animals even high up in the canopy, and he brought along binoculars to share. The only down side was the description mentioned that water was included, so we didn’t bring our camel back packs, however, there was no water so we had to buy water along the way and carry the bottles. However, the hike was super enjoyable, highly recommend!
Thank you for such a detailed and wonderful review! 🌿 We’re thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your hike with Nico and we’re so glad you were able to spot many species. Your feedback about the water is very helpful, and we’ll make sure our descriptions are updated to avoid any future confusion. We truly appreciate your recommendation.
Great hike at Soberania park- did two trails and saw lots of indigenous species and animals. Christian was a fantastic guide and we highly recommend this hike excursion.
