Emily is amazing. She made our experience! Her story telling was exquisite. Thank you Emily
This is a great tour. There's lots of different experiences throughout the day with the highlights being the Fairy pools walk and the Mcleod clan homelands and Dunvegan Castle visit. Our guide, Karen, was a key part of the day and not only a great guide but an excellent driver which is essential on a 12 hour drive. Highly recommend this day out.
All the locations were amazing. We had a really good guide. Highly recommended!
A truly great experience overall. Torquil has been my absolute favourite tour guide so far being here in the Highlands. Funny guy with lots of stories and even more factual knowledge. The fairy pools were a sight to see, and Dunvegan castle and its gardens were a very good experience too. Had a very good day, I’d recommend this tour to anyone wanting a guided tour of the Highlands.
Thorquil was great, he explains things very well. We discovered a beautiful part of Scotland; we are going to leave with magnificent stories and images. Thanks to our super guide.
We had an excellent tour guide, Martin! Very informative, entertaining and helpful! It is a long day but I finished it feeling relatively energetic and educated. Great trip.
Pros: the hike to the fairy pools was great, though strenuous. The Dunvegan castle was interesting and the gardens were beautiful. Rogie Falls was pretty, wish we had longer time there. We lucked out with the weather. But if it’s hot or wet, make sure you dress appropriately and bring bug spray for midges. Cons: the description indicated we would spend time in Portree, but we never made it there. The time at the castle was too short. We could either do the castle or one of the gardens, but not both. The timing for lunch was late. There was an unnecessary stop early on at a gas station. Our tour guide was awful. He didn’t guide us or share pertinent information. He told inappropriate and irrelevant stories focusing on himself or the cars around us. He didn’t introduce himself or go over the itinerary, and didn’t tell us we would not be going to Portree. The information that he did have had to be prompted by the participants in our van.
This was a wonderful day trip with lots of wonderful activities and stops. Our guide, Martin, was awesome. Very informational, friendly, and funny. We would highly recommend this tour. The only recommendation I have is to include the fee for Dunvegan Castle in the initial ticket price. My wife and I paid for the ticket when we purchased the tour, and anyone who didn't ended up either opting to sit for an hour in the parking lot or buy their ticket on site at the castle.
Sit back and relax. Louise drove us through fairy tale scenery and regaled us with stories of Kelpies, Selkies, Fairies, princes and heroines in between stops on this tour. Louise is a talented storyteller that weaves each tale into the scenery and her musical playlist. Time passes very quickly on this tour. There is adequate time to visit the Fairy pools, Dunvegan castle, Rogie Falls and other wonders of Scotland on the tour. If you love history and fairy tales mixed with beautiful scenery, this is the tour for you.
Amazing experience, I recommend the tour. Martin the tour guide is a wealth of fairy tale information.
