I could not get my ticket downloaded, and they did not want to let me in. They eventually let me in but I could not get the audio

Buying tickets ahead saved us so much time. This was our favorite of the three “big” sites in Sintra. Highly recommended!
Tickets we bought through Trip Advisor were not accepted by the gate attendant. We had to buy new tickets onsite to get in. Gate attendant tried to help us but the Trip Advisor tickets did not allow us the access promised. Our mistake was to buy our tickets through Trip Advisor were.

These tickets were not honored at the Moorish Castle. The gentleman scanning said they were not valid. I would like a refund.

We absolutely loved this castle, except for the steps. There are a lot of steps. One of us was afraid of heights, so going to the guards' tower was anxiety ridden. A long rocky drop on one side and no rails( we wouldn't expect there to be any) on the other. If you can get over your fear and just do it, the view is spectacular. We carried our 20 month old and watched people struggle with strollers on the cobble stones. Save yourself the trouble and don't bring one. Bring lots of water and maybe a snack. The cafe was being renovated on our visit.

Fantastic views and cool old castle. Be prepared to walk and climb a lot of stairs. Absolutely not for folks with physical limitations.

This is a stunning place with steep steps. When we got to the ticket area, the download did not work but the gentlemen were nice enough to admit us anyway. This was our second time giving Viator a chance, and it was just too difficult. Buy from the park website itself. Don’t bother with VIATOR!

Long story short, the moorish castle doesn’t recognize Viator bookings and in spite of having tickets for 2 entry and an audio tour. They said they have been having a lot of trouble with Viator so we had to REPURCHASE TICKETS to get in! I WANT A REFUND VIATOR!

The day visiting the Moorish Castle was great. I used UBER to drop me off at the Castle entrance as the walk from town square in Sintra to the castle is up-hill. I chose to walk down to Sintra. I meet a lot of people who were walking up and they did not look happy. The walk ways on the castle walls were narrow and did require a bit of effort to walk.
