La Fortaleza de San Felipe es el fuerte más destacado construido en América durante la época colonial (10 minutos, parada para tomar fotografías).
Es el punto más alto de Cartagena donde se ubica el Monasterio de la Candelaria, El mejor lugar en Cartagena para ver una vista completamente panorámica de la ciudad.
Bóvedas o Barracs, edificio residencial para soldados durante la época colonial hoy convertido en el mejor centro comercial artesanal de colombia donde podemos apreciar y comprar artesanías y joyas en oro y plata con esmeraldas.
La ciudad amurallada está rodeada por murallas que fueron construidas en la época colonial para proteger la ciudad de los ataques piratas desde el mar. Incluimos un recorrido a pie de 30 minutos por la ciudad amurallada para apreciar calles estrechas, edificios de estilo colonial, iglesias, etc.
Esta iglesia fue construida en honor a San Pedro Claver, sacerdote jesuita que llegó a Cartagena en el SIGLO XII para proteger a los esclavos africanos de sus amos ya que los trataban como animales. Esta iglesia es considerada la iglesia católica más hermosa de Cartagena.

This was an easy, half day tour. Cathedral & History, panoramic views, good shops to get souvenirs, felt very safe

Cartagena is a lot larger than you think it is and a number of the things you want to see are pretty spread out. This tour gave us the highlights of pretty much everything and got us back to the ship on time even though we had a really tight schedule because of the length of time our ship was in port. Benny was the lead guide but the driver and our other guy were all fantastic. Great to have air conditioning too! Cartagena is hot. So, even though those open cars look like fun, we saw people sweating in those. Take this door instead. You will enjoy it!

The company made it easy to meet the tour- they didn’t leave you wandering around. Easy to find them. Really appreciated it since there were 3 ships in port. Our tour guide was from Cartagena so knew the areas well. Very personable.

Directions to stop was misleading. They mentioned zone 1 and someone holding a card with the name on it. Nothing of that sort. The guide, Benny, was talking nonstop. He would lecture for 20 minutes and give us only 10-15 minutes to actually see the place. The tint in the bus pretty much blurred the city view from the bus. Couldn’t really get much of the city architecture or buildings. Waste of money. Only good thing was he showed us a place to eat really juicy mangoes. It was absolutely delicious.

Great driver. Cool van. Abundance of cultural and relevant information. Bring a fan and a hat as there are periods of standing in the sun. For us Americans it was hot and humid. Eduardo was personable and passionate about Cartagena the historical, religious, and cultural highlights of the area. Due to our short time in port, didn't have time to stop for a cervesa, which was a bummer.
