Es el lago de agua dulce más grande de Armenia y uno de los lagos de mayor altitud del mundo.
El monasterio consta de dos iglesias, Surp Arakelots (Apóstoles Santos) y Surp Astvatsatsin (Madre Santa de Dios), construidas con piedra volcánica oscura. La iglesia se encuentra en una colina, ofrece vistas panorámicas del lago Sevan y las montañas circundantes.
El distrito cuenta con balcones de madera, casas de piedra, techos de tejas rojas y calles empedradas, lo que refleja la rica herencia de la ciudad
Ubicado en los bosques de Dilijan, el monasterio está rodeado de colinas verdes y ondulantes, por lo que es un refugio tranquilo. Construido entre los siglos X y XIII, es un importante centro religioso y cultural.

Arsen was my tour guide and he was fantastic - great communication and very good knowledge. Was able to help me out with everything and gave very good recommendations. Would definitely recommend him and Tatev tours.
The tour was very convenient to schedule and the itinerary was flexible. The guide was friendly and gave us glimpse of the history of the places we went to and we stopped in between for photos in the beautiful mountain roads. The monastery in Sevan lake had 200 stairs but we have the flexibility to go up or not. Even below the monastery there are souvenir shops, fruit shop, bakeries and restaurant so you can opt to stay down and visit these stores. Overall it was lovely experience the road trip to all the places itself is really good.
