Amazing experience, especially on the first day in the city-fantastic way to get acquainted with the city! The owner of the tour company, Iain was a very knowledge guide. We were the only three on our tour, so we basically had a private tour of the city. Countless photo opportunities throughout the tour. I suggest bringing water plus being prepared for walking and standing-it is a walking tour and Edinburgh is hilly and has many stairs. The pace of the tour was perfect. The whiskey tasting was the cherry on top of the tour! Each whiskey was very distinct and Iain could talk for hours about each ones specifics. The charcuterie was plentiful for the three of us. I highly recommend this tour!
Really great tour and whisky tasting - my partner and I have been to lots of different tastings over the years and this was definitely stands out. The guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, and generally created a welcoming atmosphere. The price is very reasonable for what you're getting and it stood out as a major highlight from our trip. 5 stars - would absolutely recommend!
I communicated with a young lady the night before snd I was told to meet at a specific area which I was there by cafe Nero and no one there. I also asked her about walking all the way up to the castle and she said no then the day of I was told that yes I was expected to walk up there. I have two total knee replacements and to go up there I was not able to. I asked the gentleman to send me my refund since we were not able yo fo this tour. Your staff should know all the particulars when people are reaching out. I have used your company numerous other times snd will continue to do so but will watch for My refund . Thsnk you

I run an independent tour service on my own and do not have any staff, so you did not speak with anyone representing my business prior to the tour. On the day, you contacted me approximately 15 minutes after the tour had already started to explain that you were unable to walk up to the meeting point. As clearly stated in the tour description, this is a walking tour, and participants are expected to be able to walk between locations. In an effort to accommodate you, I offered an alternative experience involving whisky tasting and Scottish food instead of the walking tour. This option was declined. Regarding the refund request, my policy—consistent with Tripadvisor guidelines—states that cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for a refund. As this condition was not met, I am unable to issue one. I would also note that the tone of the phone conversation was not respectful, which made it more difficult to resolve the situation constructively. For future bookings, I strongly recommend carefully reviewing the tour details to ensure it is suitable for your needs. The listing clearly explains that this is a walking tour, and it is important that guests are able to participate fully.Thank you for your review.
Amazing Tour would highly recommend! Completely different from any other whisky tours you will see! Iain was so knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the walking tour followed by the Whisky tasting and charcuterie board with Hector ( also amazing and very knowledgeable!!) Excellent tour that was a catch all experience. Iain’s historical knowledge was outstanding and we loved the whisky tasting! The absolute highlight was the haggis bon bons, you should take this tour for those alone. Thank you for a spectacular day :)
The best tour of Edinburgh. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the ghosts of Edinburgh, seeing the roads, the different levels of the city from Ian, super guide! And Hector ‘s teaching about whisky and most delicious charcuterie. Enjoy a genuine taste of Scotland. .
Amazing Iain was so knowledgeable and a bit of a comedian too! Great value for money! Food was amazing and we all had a great time , great for taking our friends who were visiting us for the weekend.
Fantastic experience! This was my first time visiting Scotland with my fiancée and I'm glad I did. Ian really knew his stuff, was friendly and charming - would highly recommend. The combinations of whisky with the food were amazing, and during the rest of the trip we kept coming back to how good it was. Not to mention ... the sights were stunning.
