Visita obligada al corazón espiritual del país. Admiraremos los coloridos mosaicos de la fachada y bajaremos a la Cripta para visitar la tumba de San Óscar Arnulfo Romero, un sitio de peregrinación mundial y memoria histórica.
Recorrido por los majestuosos salones de este edificio de principios del siglo XX. Caminaremos entre sus 104 habitaciones para apreciar los pisos originales traídos de Italia y la impresionante arquitectura neoclásica donde se escribió la historia política del país.
No se deje engañar por su exterior de hormigón. Al entrar, descubrirá una de las iglesias más bellas de América. Su diseño arquitectónico crea un arcoíris de luz natural que baña el altar. Un lugar perfecto para la fotografía.
Caminaremos por la Plaza Libertad, el lugar donde nació la ciudad en 1545. Luego, subiremos al histórico Club La Dalia, el club social más antiguo de San Salvador. Su arquitectura Art Nouveau y su ambiente bohemio nos transportarán al pasado.
Apreciaremos la elegancia del Teatro Nacional (el más antiguo de Centroamérica) y el Monumento a Francisco Morazán. Disfrutaremos del ambiente seguro y vibrante de la plaza, rodeada de nuevos comercios y vida cultural.

A thoroughly enjoyable tour of the historic center of San Salvador! My guide, Gabriel, was quite knowledgeable and provided me with much information on the area. Due to the Christmas light installation in the area, my tour was changed from morning to afternoon, and it was wonderful seeing the historic center lit up with beautiful lights in the early evening. I especially enjoyed the final stop at the La Dalia Social Club, founded in 1937!
