This was a nice day on the water. We didn’t sail because there was a lack of wind. It was a beautiful day but hot. Our first stop was at Brac Island where we anchored and swam. It was very quiet and peaceful. Our hosts offered delicious prosciutto and cheese and wine and water. Next stop was Solta, a small village where we disembarked for some time to walk, swim, and have lunch on our own. We then headed back to port to arrive by 4pm. The main downside was that the two sailors were both smokers and smoked on board and even when we anchored in Brac they smoked down below. It was not pleasant. They also didn’t talk to us very much or offer any info about the islands we visited.

Itinerario

We had a lovely and fun trip with Damian and the crew. We stopped at beautiful places and were hosted very nicely during the day. We even sailed for a bit even though the wind was low, just for the experience. Would highly recommend and book it again.
Such a wonderful day of sailing! Damyan and Marin were absolute professionals - confident and knowledgeable sailors making for a great day out. We stopped at Brac for some snorkelling and swimming which was really lovely and peaceful and we were then treated to some wine, cured meats, bread and cheese on board. Later we then stopped for a delicious seafood meal in Solta. It really was a perfect day for us - thank you!
Enjoyed our experience. Very fun day and enjoyed the stops. Hosts took good care of us. The island we visited was quaint and picturesque.
Amazing small boat sailing experience with a great captain. Highly recommended for couples wanting a more personal island hopping experience.
A very enjoyable day out, Brac island for the swimming is nice and quiet waters and the lunch on Solta island is excellent quality food. The sailing back to split was super fun and the skipper was experienced and made the day out just great. An excellent experience that anyone can enjoy.
This tour is one of the best that I have ever experienced with Viator. The captain of the boat was a real local with a wealth of knowledge regarding the Split area and was very willing to share his knowledge. Unlike other tours, he did not take us to tourist traps, but rather places off the beaten path which were beautiful and frequented primarily by locals. The captain was very knowledgeable about Croatia, its people, customs, and local places to visit. Although we used the engine on the way to these spots, we used sail power on the way back to Split, a wonderful and relaxing treat. During the tour, the captain was very hospitable and welcoming with a nice break for wine, cheese, bread, and prosciutto. I will definitely recommend this trip to my many friends and relatives who will be coming to Croatia and hope to be able to take another tour on this boat myself.
The island of solte was beautiful. Meeting other people was great too. Feel there could have been a little more snacks, more effort made on this front. We were offered wine and water throughout the trip so was great. I think we could have more engagement, maybe get us involved with sailing part, offer to play some music, offer to take some photos, share information on the islands. Overall the crew were absolutely fine. On way back no where to lay down and sunbathe. Little cosy with 6 people and 2 crew, vessel is not very big so lacked space for more than one person to lay down.
Thank you for taking the the time to write about our trip, and we are glad you liked Šolta and overall enjoyed the trip. Snacks are served on the boat to have a taste of local customs and to better enjoy a glass of cold wine after the swim stop. We did not mean to present it as a full meal. I am not sure about the critique regarding the engagement, there were 3 groups of 2 on the boat and we felt like we were engaged all the time -not only with the conversation but with serving wine, water, sailing, coffee and so on. We talked a lot exactly about the things you mentioned, I am sorry if there was any lack of attention - but with different people, and all other things we need to do maybe we didn't notice. We try to be open and welcoming, we would have gladly taken photos, just ask. We try to avoid music on shared trips as different people have different tastes, and some just like the sound of being on a sailboat. The boat is a 33ft sailboat, and 6 people can comfortably sit in the cockpit as can be seen on a lot of photos. Also our guests very often move to other parts of the boat, on the side or the front. We feel like the boat is comfortable enough for a day trip, especially with amenities like toilet and kitchen, which allows us to serve snacks and/or make you fresh coffee. Thank you for booking our trip. Best regards, Damjan
Cancelled last minute with no opportunity to rebook during our trip dates. Just a 5 day wait for a refund. The reason given was 'bad weather' on a clear sunny day and the tour operator hung up on me when I called to query it. Unfortunately, I ignored the other reviews who'd said the same - if you're going to book this, my advice would be to schedule it as early as possible during your trip.
Hello Lance, Can't say I wasn't expecting a review like this after our phone call this morning. Before I address your review, I want to state something that should be obvious, but is also written and easy to read before you make a reservation with us - this experience is weather dependent. It's a sailboat, it's actually one of the most weather dependent experiences you can book. Rain and/or strong winds would ruin what you paid for. Would you really enjoy being on a boat while the rain is pouring down on you and feeling cold? There are situations where we know a few days before that the weather is going to be bad, sometimes we can't tell until the day before and sometimes it changes on the morning before the trip. That's just how it goes. There were actually a couple of situations where we went out, and realized that the weather is changing quickly and returned. As I already mentioned in one of the similar reviews - we live from this. We hate having to cancel, but we would hate even more to take your money and sail out knowing that you'll spend hours soaking and freezing. Now, about your review. - The excursion was cancelled at 17:00h the day before the trip, as soon as we realized that we'll most likely have a few hours of rain during our time. So not really last minute. - You did not call me to query it, you called me 3 times at 08:00h saying that the weather is fine, and that you have checked the forecast. You had no interest in what I had to say, you just kept saying the weather is fine. Although I sail almost every day on this area for years, you were 100% certain the weather is fine and that we should go out. Sun at 08:00h doesn't mean anything, it can change in minutes let alone hours. So, what happened at the end? The rain started at 12:00h and did not stop until late afternoon. I guess you wrote this review immediately after our phone call, because you have seen the weather change later. If we had gone out today, 5 hours out of 7 total would have been under rain. To me that sound like a bad experience, and that is not something we want. Although the review is already written, I hope you realized at the end that it was a correct decision. Damjan
The crew were amazing, super thoughtful, and very knowledgable. 100% would do again. Great tour of a beautiful area I would not otherwise get to see.
