Primer paso: La excursión comienza en la costa este de la isla, con sus magníficas playas de arena negra y sus famosos puntos de surf. A lo largo de la ruta, habrá paradas de 5-10 minutos para fotos, información del guía, etc.
PASO 2: Descubra Tahití desde un ángulo único El recorrido comienza por la costa este de la isla, con sus magníficas playas de arena negra y sus famosos puntos de surf, antes de adentrarse en el corazón del valle de Papenoo, el más extenso de Tahití. Esta inmersión en el corazón de la exuberante naturaleza de la isla le brindará la oportunidad de descubrir su esencia de una forma auténtica y única. La excursión incluye comentarios y paradas en varios lugares notables, que ofrecen paisajes impresionantes hasta la Caldera, un cráter volcánico extinto que dio origen a Tahití Nui. Le sorprenderán las majestuosas cascadas, las verdes montañas, la exuberante vegetación y la flora y fauna locales. El guía compartirá con usted fascinantes historias de mitos y leyendas, marae y el rico patrimonio cultural e histórico de la isla.
PASO 3: Tras recorrer la mitad de la isla y llegar a la Caldera, la excursión continúa con una visita al auténtico pueblo de Fare Hape, un lugar lleno de historia donde descubrirá la vida tradicional de los habitantes tahitianos (marae, fare, horno tahitiano, etc.). Antes de partir, le recomendamos encarecidamente que traiga un bocadillo o tentempié para almorzar. Para ello, pararemos en un supermercado donde podrás comprar lo que necesites. El almuerzo tendrá lugar en un lugar auténtico y pintoresco del pueblo de Fare Hape, donde podrá disfrutar de un merecido descanso. También le recomendamos encarecidamente que traiga su propia botella o botellas de agua, para mantenerse bien hidratado durante la excursión. Una pequeña sorpresa le espera mientras se sumerge en la cultura polinesia para un momento de convivencia y de compartir.
PASO 4: La aventura continúa con una parada en el túnel que une las costas este y oeste, ofreciendo una vista espectacular de Vaihiria, el único lago natural de gran altitud de Tahití. A continuación, cruzará toda la isla antes de regresar al punto de partida.

Great views of island going through the mountains and valleys. It was an awesome adventure. I would highly recommend this excursion.
Beautiful scenery but hang on for the rugged ride. Guide friendly and courteous. The stops for food at the grocery store very helpful. The lunch picnic spot was a relaxing break halfway through the drive. Highly recommend.
This tour was absolutely fabulous and we would highly recommend this tour! Our guide T’mauve (not sure spelling) was the most knowledgeable and we learned so much about the Tahitian culture. He educated us on all the nature and all the beauty of Tahiti!

The guides Temaeva was excellent. However due to landslide the road is blocked. We only went half way. Tunnel id blocked. You don't see lake Vahiria. You don't go out other side of island at Mahina. We didn't e en to to viewpoint at Maroto Restaurant. Very disappointed.

In Pape’ete you do your customers a disservice by only allowing a limited number of pickup points and then not telling the providers that that's what you have done. Every single one of them assumed that we were booked at the pickup hotel. It made the experience uncomfortable and less efficient.

Leonie is such an amazing guide! The roads that typically the tour takes, on one side of the island were unfortunately washed out due to so much rain the past few days, but Leonie still found a way to make the tour amazing for us and took another way to see some amazing scenery. She is an incredible person and taught us so much about the island and the great people here. I would not have been able to see even a quarter of what we did if not for Leonie. Fantastic scenery ready at 8.45 we didn’t get going from the supermarket till 10.00. Scenery was stunning and very dramatic unlike anything we’ve experienced in French Polynesia. Would have liked water provided.

As our tours are organized in groups, the schedule and pace may also depend on the needs of the participants on the day. We had an absolutely fantastic time exploring the Papenoo Valley by jeep. If you are looking for an incredible experience, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Our guide was wonderful—so kind, helpful, and, most importantly, an incredibly skilled driver. The roads through the valley are very narrow and rugged, but she was a total professional. We felt completely safe and at ease with her behind the wheel the entire time. The trip lasted about 8 hours and included several great stops. One of the highlights was a refreshing break to swim in a beautiful natural pool, accompanied by a lovely snack. It’s clear that she has deep local knowledge, as she knew every hidden corner of the valley perfectly. I wouldn’t think of booking with anyone else. If you want a safe, authentic, and fun adventure, look no further!

While our guide on the tour through the heart of Tahiti was very knowledgeable and quite kind, I can’t recommend this trip to anyone else. Not because of the company but because the trip is 8 hours of being “bumpy” roads. It was more than bumpy, it was so jarring I felt like I was being beaten for 8 long hours. My husband was so car sick he could not enjoy any of it

However, we would like to clarify an important point regarding the route: it is not 8 hours of continuous bumpy roads. The tour alternates between paved roads, cement roads, more uneven tracks, as well as stops in the valley, at viewpoints, and at natural sites, in order to fully enjoy the landscapes and visits. We do understand that comfort perception can vary from one person to another, especially for those sensitive to motion sickness, and we regret that this may have affected your experience.
