El recorrido gastronómico vespertino de 4 horas de SGA Travel por Estambul te lleva a las profundidades del corazón culinario de la ciudad, combinando historia y comida callejera. Comienza en el animado Mısır Çarşısı (mercado de especias), donde probarás el tradicional lokum turco y explorarás los puestos de especias aromáticas. Cruza el puente de Gálata hasta Karaköy, donde los vendedores locales sirven especialidades como kokoreç (intestinos de cordero a la parrilla) y midye dolma (mejillones rellenos). En Mandabatmaz, saborea un espeso café turco acompañado de crujientes içli köfte (albóndigas rellenas). El viaje continúa por la bulliciosa Istiklal Caddesi, donde probarás la famosa hamburguesa islak y, de postre, podrás deleitarte con un baklava almibarado y otras delicias turcas. Este recorrido ofrece una forma única de conectarse con la cultura gastronómica callejera de Estambul, degustando platos preparados por vendedores que han perfeccionado su oficio durante generaciones, brindando una auténtica experiencia culinaria.

El líder de su recorrido lo recibirá en la puerta principal del mercado de especias y lo llevará a un recorrido.
Caminarás por el puente de Gálata para observar a los pescadores locales y tomar las mejores fotos del Cuerno de Oro.
Caminará por el barrio de Karakoy para probar un par de especialidades locales como Cig Kofte, cay (té turco), borek (pastelería) y baklava.
Cogerá el funicular del túnel hasta la calle Istiklal y se dirigirá a la plaza Taksim. La primera parada será un café muy local que hace un café turco muy especial llamado 'Mandabatmaz'
Subirá la colina y terminará el recorrido en la plaza Taksim, pero antes del final, probará diferentes tipos de muestras de comida callejera, como delicias turcas, kokoreç (intestinos a la parrilla), mejillones rellenos, içli köfte (albóndigas rellenas), delicias turcas. y hamburguesa húmeda.

Furkan was a wonderful guide to Istanbul’s food treasures. He was great about asking us our likes/dislikes and adjusting accordingly. We sampled borek (and he took us to a beautiful mosque courtyard to eat our snack away from the bustle of the alleyways). He brought us to a rooftop terrace for tea and let us try our hand at making gozleme. He also took us to a stall that makes fish wraps—one of his personal favorites and not something we’d have found on our own. The foods were included in the price of the tour and it felt like a great deal.
It is a great experience. Our guide, Kamil was very knowledgeable, and went at our own pace. He was very knowledgeable, and he did not push us to anything. Also, we felt very safe with him walking through some of the busier Parts. When we stopped at certain points to eat, he explained everything that we were eating, and How it was prepared..
The tour was perfect. Our family had a great time in Istanbul with our guide Alpe showing us many different sites and providing great information. We tried amazing food and learned a lot about the culture. Then our family went to cappadocia and our guide Büsra did an amazing job showing us the sites there. Both guides had an amazing love to the country and culture. We highly recommend the tour to everyone and had a wonderful time.
Sila was absolutely wonderful. It was so much more than just a foodie walk. She obviously loves Istanbul and was willing to share so much information about history and other sites to see. A must when you are in Istanbul.
My wife and I had a wonderful first visit to Istanbul and Cappadocia, organized by SGA Travel. It was a very exclusive experience. This first thing on my list for Turkey experience was the sampling of the authentic local street food and cuisines. Found these guys online and thought i would give it a shot at their Foodie Trail experience and man it was one of the best decision i made in Istanbul. They not just take you to these absolutely unknown corners of the coty to sample these incredibly good street food but also helps you understand the background on it, you can say an immersive cultural experience of the city through the lens of the local food and cuisine of the city.
