Si llega al puerto de Mahogany Bay, estas son las siguientes instrucciones sobre cómo llegar: Después de bajar del barco, camine hasta la estación de taxis, allí a su izquierda verá una colina que conduce a una puerta y guardias de seguridad, camine por esa colina y luego salga por la puerta y luego camine por la colina afuera de la puerta, allí verá a los lugareños sosteniendo carteles de diferentes compañías de viajes, busque la que dice "Roatan Tropical Escape Tours", allí lo estaremos esperando. Si llega al centro de la ciudad, puerto de Coxen Hole, estas son las siguientes instrucciones sobre cómo llegar: Después de bajar del barco, camine hasta la puerta número 1, allí verá una puerta que conduce a una carretera principal, salga por esa puerta, al otro lado de la puerta verá a los lugareños sosteniendo carteles de diferentes compañías de viajes, busque la que dice "Roatan Tropical Escape Tours", allí lo estaremos esperando. Absolutely must book! Kessie was our tour guide of the day and there are not enough amazing words for her, the tour company, and the absolute fun we had on all the adventures of this day!! Upon arriving in port we discovered that the ship did not adjust the time to local time. Kessie was amazing and completely rearranged her personal day and came an hour earlier than we had previously arranged to pick us up. We then headed to the animal encounter where we pet sloths, played with monkeys and held guinea pigs. From there Kessie took us to the snorkeling stop. She told us all about Honduras, their culture, and gave us such a wonderful overview while driving. The snorkeling was incredible!! The boat driver and personnel was so knowledgeable. When our son decided last minute to not get in the water they talked with him and helped make him a lot more comfortable. From there we went over to the beach spot where we lounged, relaxed and had lunch. Kessie stayed in communication with us and picked us up earlier than agreed upon our request. We had requested to stop and buy some coffee on the way back to the ship, so leaving early enabled us to make this stop. She was so kind and patient in accommodating us throughout the day. She knew just the perfect spot to buy coffee (cannot recommend West Pickers at Macaw Market highly enough - see August who works there)!! After some souvenir shopping we headed back to the ship. We all agreed that this was by far our favorite excursion/touring day of the cruise and Kessie was a big part of that. If you are looking at various companies to book with, look no further than this one. You will not be disappointed. They go above and beyond.
This was AMAZING!! It was our favorite port because this tour had EVERYTHING!! We saw sloths, monkeys, snorkeled, and had a private beach day. There was even time to grab local cuisine. Kessie was amazing! I was nervous booking an outside tour but Kessie planned everything and got us back in plenty of time! Thank you so much Kessie!!
Great scenic trip through some of Roatan with Odessa. She is an amazing tour guide who shared her knowledge of the island on a whole bunch of levels. Sloth and monkey park was super fun and snorkeling was worth it.
This was my first trip here and will definitely be back. It was fun interacting with the Monkeys and watching the sloths. Our beach day was great and the water was awesome. Our guide Odessa was very warm & welcoming. She gave us lots of background information on locations as we passed them filled us in on local foods and customs. We will definitely be back. I recommend anyone that comes and is looking for a guide please ask for Odessa.
This is our second time booking and we can't wait to do it again. Odessa was our tour guide and she is amazing. She is very kind, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and knows the island well. We enjoyed our lunch at a place she recommended, as well as the glass bottom boat snorkeling. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Roatan!
