We had a wonderful time in Shimizu! Kyla was our guide and she brought her microphone headset so we could all hear in and out of the van. She also told us so much about the places we visited. Would happily take this tour again!

Lots of value in this tour! Miyuki and her driver provided excellent service. We got a lot more bang for our buck than booking with our ship’s shore excursions. She took us to a beach and provided us with a beach wheelchair for my 85 year-old Mom for a view of Mt. Fuji. She then took us to the observatory for more stunning views of Mt. Fuji. This was followed by a trip to a green tea farm. We finally went to the Kanpuzan Temple. All these times, Miyuki was snapping memorable pictures of our group. It was a fantastic day!

Our day at Mt. Fuji was unforgettable, even with the unpredictable weather, so definitely bring an umbrella, as Mother Nature is in charge! Despite the changing conditions, it didn’t dampen our experience at all. Hirokane-san was a truly lovely and friendly guide who made the entire day feel relaxed and special. He was punctual, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights that brought the area to life. The private tour allowed us to explore comfortably at our own pace, and he even took us to a few hidden spots we wouldn’t have found ourselves. His warm personality and attention to detail made all the difference. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a memorable and personalized Mt. Fuji experience.

We had the most fabulous day with our guide Hiroko, who shared her knowledge of Shimizu with us. Her english was excellent, and we even had the honour of visiting a temple where we were invited to try on a wedding kimono. We explored Miho no Matsubara Beach, and learnt of the legend of Miho no Matsubara. Shout out to our driver Ryan for getting us around safely and on time.

We had a lovely tour with our guide Nobuko when visiting Shimizu. We had wonderful views of Mt. Fuji and learned so much. Nobuko was fun, flexible, and so accommodating to our group's needs. Our group included a 7-year old and an older adult with mobility issues but our guide didnt miss a beat when making sure everyone was able to participate in a way that worked for them. It was amazing to recognize and apply all that we learned on our tour at other places we subsequently visited in Japan, like the purification ritual at Shinto shrines and why there's often a model of Ieyasu's horse found at many of them. My daughter especially enjoyed the shrine we visited and being able to feed the fish and play with some traditional instruments and toys. Plus, meeting our guide and driver was super easy and convenient, right off the ship. Great communication and service throughout. We highly recommend it.

This was a great way to start off our trip to Japan. Miyuki and Miyako were a wonderful pair as tour guide and driver. The moment we got off the cruise ship we were greeted and escorted to our van. Miyuki was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned a lot. She also captured many pictures of our family and took good care of my 2 year old son. She gave him a book and bubbles to play with on the beach. Would highly recommend this tour, especially for those with elderly family members. Both of my parents commented that the tour kept older people in mind.

Our tour guide, Rie, was extremely knowledgeable. She taught us a lot about the history and culture of the area and each of the sites we stopped at. She was delightful, flexible when we arrived early, and made our time in Shimizu lovely.

The tour with Hiroko was excellent. Never felt crowded or rushed - we went to places the bigger buses did not so the tour felt more special. It was very hot and humid, and she made adjustments to help us manage the heat better. Thank you!
Thank you very much for joining our tour and leaving us such a great review. This is our first review for this ”step free tour”. It is our great pleasure to hear that you enjoyed the tour with Hikoro though it was very hot. 💦 Have a wonderful cruise in Japan! We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Hirokane
