Conozca a su guía y grupo en Old Adobe Chapel, a la que se le puede atribuir el haber salvado Old Town San Diego gracias a un libro de 1884. Continúe hasta una de las casas más embrujadas del sur de California, también inusual por su arquitectura y materiales de construcción. Después de una vista de la arquitectura victoriana, pasaremos por la ubicación original del Presidio y la Misión cuando los españoles se establecieron por primera vez en California. Admira la estructura del siglo XVIII más antigua de la zona y aprende sobre las tribus indígenas que vivieron aquí durante miles de años. De vuelta en la ciudad, veremos algunas auténticas artesanías mexicanas (¡no hay malos recuerdos aquí!), Visitaremos una iglesia católica centenaria que es descendiente de la Misión original, seguido de un paseo por un cementerio histórico con tumbas que datan de la 1850 Nuestra última parada es una tequileria local para aprender sobre los diferentes tipos de tequila. Únase a nosotros para descubrir la historia completa de San Diego en el lugar donde todo comenzó: Old Town. Aprenderemos sobre los pueblos indígenas de la zona, junto con los españoles y visitaremos dónde se establecieron, y cómo esto se convirtió en parte de México antes de convertirse en un estado de EE. UU. En el camino escucharemos historias de las personas que vivieron aquí y terminaremos con unos fantásticos tacos y tequila.
Comenzamos nuestro recorrido en la Capilla de Adobe, construida por primera vez como una casa en 1850. En 1858 se convirtió en una capilla después de que la Misión se cerró y sirvió en esa capacidad hasta 1919. Aprenderemos que fue el escenario del personaje de ficción Ramona. boda de la novela de 1884, y cómo este edificio salvó el barrio.
Hay tres edificios históricos en este sitio y hablaremos de todos ellos, además de admirar los centenarios Pepper Trees. Conocida principalmente por sus residentes fantasmales, Whaley House es históricamente importante más allá de estar encantada.
Estos edificios victorianos se trasladaron aquí para preservarlos de la ciudad en expansión en la década de 1970 desde el centro. Todas estas casas datan de finales del siglo XIX.
La marcha de infantería más larga en la historia de Estados Unidos ocurrió durante la guerra entre México y Estados Unidos en 1846-48 y este sitio la conmemora.
Donde el San Diego moderno comenzó con la primera Misión y el primer Presidio (fortaleza) establecido aquí en 1769. Después de que esta área fuera abandonada, los residentes se mudaron colina abajo a lo que ahora es Old Town State Park.
Este es el descendiente de la iglesia en el lugar de nuestra reunión y tiene más de 100 años.
Después del cierre del Presidio, este se convirtió en el principal cementerio católico de San Diego, y muchos de los primeros residentes de San Diego están enterrados aquí.

I book tour on a last minute decision to get away with my girlfriend. It was something that we both needed. We got there a couple of minutes late but were able to catch up with the group. I must say our tour guide Jennifer did an amazing job. Not only gave us a tour around old town San Diego, but was nice, friendly, funny and gave us some history facts of Old Town that my girlfriend and I both enjoyed. We ended the tour at El Agave Restaurant and Tequileria. I must say the restaurant was nice. Tequila bottles everywhere. Friendly staff. Tacos were really good. The drinks were top tier 10/10. Thank you to Daniel for making the best margaritas ever. We will definitely be back to Old Town soon.

We enjoyed this experience as there were only three of us so it was easy to ask questions and hear all the commentary. Our guide, Jennifer, was great. The route was a fairly easy walk with only one long hill. The tacos and tequila was a perfect way to end the tour. The restaurant was very nice and outside the main part of Old Town so quiet and relaxing.
