Unfortunately we were not informed that the bus had an accident and could not come, the excursion could not take place because of this!
I had a really great experience. The team did their best to ensure we were picked up for a hotel and I really appreciate that. The guide was accommodating, kind and very informative. Our experience was great!
We went during Carnaval so we expected long waits and lines but we were pleased to find out our tour guide got us through the express lanes and we were able to see Sugarloaf and CTR pretty quickly. The tour was informative and a great way to get to know the city. However, our guide was not transparent upfront about not being able to make the other two stop due to heavy traffic and road closures. It wasn't until we asked about those stops on the way home that she mentioned it, and we did not appreciate that.
The guide was great. A clean air conditioned van. My only complaint was that we did not visit all the stops advertised.
We didn’t get to see the Seleron Steps due to crowds from the carnival activities. I lost my phone on one of the buses heading up to the statue
Fab tour leader & driver. Really looked after us. Would recommend advise travellers to take hats/umbrella as limited shade in some queues. Trip was excellent and spectacular. Great value for money for a complete day out.
A great tour of the highlights! I originally planned to do the full day tour with lunch and decided to change to a half day tour. I'm so glad I confirmed this half-day option. This tour included the usual highlights: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain via cable cars, and Selaron Steps. I wish we had about 10 more minutes at the steps but it was due to a group of selfish tourists ahead of me in line for the section of the steps with the name who decided to do a full photoshoot of about 5 poses per person with different combinations of the 6 people in their group and ignored the pleas of others in the line. It didn't seem like the other tourists in my group wanted the extra time for shopping provided during the Sugarloaf Mountain part of the tour. Perhaps, the guides can ask for general preferences at the beginning of the tour and modify times accordingly. Lucia(Lucy) was a wonderfully kind and patient tour guide and the driver, Marco Antonio, was great, as well. Lucy provided extensive historical information and graciously answered questions from the group all while alternating effortlessly from English to Spanish to Portuguese while maintaining a smile. Book this tour! See the highlights and still have your afternoon free to explore. Tips: 1. Prepare accordingly if you have motion sickness as ascending and descending the mountains can be rough and winding, 2. Get in line for the steps first if you want the part with the name. Then, take pictures in other sections if you have time, 3. See if the location of your country or state's tile is listed online so you know where it is and can take a picture quickly and not waste time looking for it, 4. Don't worry about all the people in your pictures as you can easily remove them with AI like I did😉
Dear Customer. Thanks a lot for the review. We are glad that you liked the tour. Please count on us on future trips. Thanks. Att, Giovanna Maldonado.
Extremely friendly, detailed and professional. Very complete and knowledgeable tour guide and driver. Melanie is just so caring about conducting a very informative, safe and complete comfortable Tour. Clear direction for every meet check points. Ensuring all tour participants are following the schedule. Great ambassador of your Tour Brand. Great local experience, clear content in the 3 languages. Glad I selected the Tour Gray Line Brazil.
Everton and Alex were wonderful hosts. I was the only one in the “group” but they were perfectly accommodating and drove me to Sugar Loaf & Cristo Redentor, taking care of all the tickets and minimizing wait time. Even so we didn’t make it to the Selarón steps, which was my only disappointment with an otherwise marvelous & personal introduction to Rio.
We loved this tour! Just the right amount of time at each stop for us. We stopped at the Metropolitan Cathedral, Selarón Steps, Redeemer and SugarLoaf (no lunch). Our guide Gabi spoke very good English and gave us just enough information about the areas we were driving through and the attractions. She kept everything moving and was very professional. Arturo was our driver and the van was clean and air conditioned. From pick up to drop off was 6 hours….Highly recommend!
