Omita el tráfico de la ciudad estancada y los autobuses turísticos llenos de gente. A solo 40 minutos de las famosas playas de Río se encuentra un área silvestre protegida Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO donde el denso dosel de la selva bloquea el caos de la ciudad. Este es un viaje a ritmo de grupo pequeño diseñado para mostrar el lado salvaje de Río sin las multitudes. - Experimente la potencia bruta : Párese en la base de Cascatinha Taunay - una cascada rugiente de 115 pies - y la cascada más alta del parque (no se permite nadar). - Explorar un Récord Nacional : Aventúrate dentro de la histórica Gruta del Murciélago, la formación de cuevas gneis más grande de Brasil. - Vistas de postal sin multitudes - Obtenga vistas panorámicas y perfectas del Cristo Redentor, la montaña Pan de Azúcar, Copacabana, Ipanema y el horizonte de Río. - No se necesita experiencia : caminar 1,2–3,1 millas (2–5 km) por senderos seguros y sombreados a un ritmo de grupo cómodo y relajado, adecuado para la mayoría de los niveles de fitness. - Incluye traslado de ida y vuelta en un cómodo vehículo de aire acondicionado. Nuestro destino inicial es Mirante das Canoas, un impresionante mirador que ofrece vistas de las montañas Pedra da Gavea y Pedra Bonita, así como del barrio de Sao Conrado. Tras una breve parada, nos dirigiremos directamente al Parque Tijuca, a sólo 15 minutos.

Sea testigo de la impresionante Cascada Taunay, la más alta de Río, que cae desde grandes alturas y brinda una atmósfera serena en el corazón de la selva tropical.
Nuestra siguiente parada es Cachoeira das Almas, una caminata de 30 a 40 minutos a través del corazón de la selva tropical de Tijuca. A medida que caminas más profundo en la selva, el dosel se cierra por encima de ti, filtrando la luz solar en pozos dorados a través del suelo del bosque. Escucha a los tucanes en la parte superior, observa a los perezosos en los árboles y mantente atento a los monos capuchinos que se lanzan a través de las ramas. El terreno es suave, sinuoso a través de la antigua selva atlántica, donde el aire es espeso con humedad y canto de pájaros, y el sonido distante del agua corriendo se hace más fuerte con cada paso. Entonces la cascada se revela : cascada de montaña cristalina, rodeada de vegetación exuberante y tranquilidad absoluta. Entra y deja que la selva haga el resto. Dependiendo de la temporada, podemos visitar Cachoeira Diamantina en su lugar, igualmente impresionante, igualmente inolvidable.

Two hours of the Tijuca Forest hiking was gruelling for a late 50’s old woman like me😂 but I enjoyed it so much that I would not hesitate doing it again. It was my first time doing this and honestly, I almost gave up during the second phase of the mountain climb but thanks to Victor our lovely Tour Guide who made the hike so enjoyable & seemingly effortless. He was so friendly, extremely helpful, polite and more importantly, very knowledgeable about the Tijuca Forest. A huge thanks to the professional Tour Driver as well who drove us (myself, my two children & the other tourists on the tour van) safely to the top of the scary mountain😀 for the Forest hike and likewise made sure we were safely back down the daunting mountain. Much appreciation to all the Itaway Tours staff who did a great job by making sure that the hike was an unforgettable positive experience for my children and I. Communications to me from the Tour Company prior to the hike was outstanding. Constantly kept me informed about our hike even before we left our country for Brazil, a few days before the day of the hike when we arrived in Rio de Janeiro and on the actual hike day. The slight negative part of this tour was that at the ‘last minute’, the Tour Company did not fulfil their responsibility of picking my children and I up at our Hotel and dropping us off back there after the tedious hike we had had even though this service was included in my payment. Well despite this letdown, I would not hesitate booking other activities or even the Forest hike again with Itaway Tours if I should visit amazing Rio de Janeiro- Brazil again. Thanks Team!!

One of the best hiking experience we’ve had. My wife described the forest as the most beautiful forests she has been to ..The plush tropical vegetation as well as the birds and even slots! were great. Our guide, Eric, was very knowledgeable, giving us a nice introduction to different details of the forest, caves, and waterfalls. Even brewed some coffee for us! Highly recommended.

An excellent tour from start to finish, very well organized and totally enjoyable. During the tour I would have liked to see a little more wildlife, although I perfectly understand that that is out of the guides' reach and depends on nature. Wonderful trip! It was our first full day in Rio and Lucas did such a great job taking us around the park. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the park and the animals in it on top of being a phenomenal photographer. We saw plenty of wildlife on the tour, including a sloth, a toucan (from a distance), a monkey, and a coati. While the forest was lively, I am not entirely sure the noises we heard were actually birds or Lucas’ fantastic imitations as he tried to draw them out. It was winter so we didn’t see the waterfalls in their full glory, but they were still impressive and getting to stand under one was quite refreshing. We ended the day at the Chinese Viewpoint and got to see a beautiful view of the city. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in experiencing the wildlife around Rio.
It was such a great experience. The group I was with were so nice and the guide was amazing. From the cave to the waterfall it was wonderful. We did see some toucans and that’s wildlife for you as you may see many or none. Great time and suggest it to anyone considering this opportunity.
