I just got back from the White Water Rafting and Monkey Cave tour from Phuket and seriously, it was one of the best days I've ever had here! The rafting was super fun, not too scary, just the right amount of splashes and laughs. Our guide was great, made us feel totally safe and kept the good vibes going. And the Monkey Cave? So cool! Got to see lots of monkeys up close and the temple inside was really interesting. Everything was so well organized, from the pick-up to drop-off. The staff were all super friendly and made the whole day easy and enjoyable. If you're looking for an adventure that's a bit different and a lot of fun, you HAVE to do this tour! Highly, highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you for taking the time to share your amazing experience. We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a fun and safe adventure with the White-Water Rafting and Monkey Cave tour. Your high recommendation means a lot to us. We hope to welcome you back for more unforgettable adventures in the future. Best Regards, Tawan Oh-Hoo Team
Unethical elephant activities sadly are an integral part of this package - we didn’t know this when booking (elephants weren’t mentioned anywhere in the viator description) and would never have booked or gone if we’d been aware, but the quad bike centre doubles as an elephant riding place and so we had to sit around and watch other tourists ride on chained and bloodied animals that were routinely beaten to make them comply. Other that that, the rafting was brief and not real rafting and there was a lot of sitting around.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are deeply sorry and concerned to hear about your experience regarding the elephant activities associated with the tour. At Oh Hoo Travel, we take animal welfare very seriously, and we sincerely regret that this information was not clearly communicated in the tour description. We will urgently review the content on Viator and our partnerships with local operators to ensure full transparency and to avoid including any activities that do not align with ethical standards. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the rafting and the waiting times, and we’ll work with our team to improve the quality and pacing of this experience. Please accept our sincere apologies for the distress caused. Your comments are invaluable in helping us improve, and we hope you might consider giving us the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future. Best regards, Oh Hoo Travel
The white water rafting itself is amazing, but not really worth the drive. We got picked up at 6:30 from our Hotel and our first stop wasn't until 10! The monkey cave was nice to see but definitely not worth a visit on its own. Oh and some people couldn't even go in because they didn't wear appropriate clothes, but the tour guide didn't care at all. After another hour of driving we finally reached the place for the rafting. But we had to wait another hour to finally go into the boat. On the water, we had a lot of fun, but there were more than 100 boats on a small river so don't expect anything close to a private experience. The rafting itself took around one hour, which in our opinion did not make up for the hours of wait and drive. The waterfall at the end was disappointing aswell, because we got drivin right to the pint of the waterfall, so no walk in the jungle and we got less than 30 minutes to spend there. The views were stunning but definitely not the most amazing I've seen. After that, we had to wait... AGAIN! The ATV-Tour wasn't as described at the same time as the waterfall walk but instead afterwards so everyone else had to wait in the sun, without water or anyone from the crew to talk to. After a long day we just wanted to get home but again it was a 3½ hour drive to our hostel. All in all not worth loosing a whole day of your holiday here.
