Para grupos de hasta 4, 8 o 15 pasajeros, esta excursión privada de un día desde York, solo para su grupo, brinda la oportunidad de explorar el impresionante paisaje del Parque Nacional Yorkshire Dales, visitando el castillo de Bolton, Askrigg, Kettlewell, Pateley Bridge y el tradicional Dales Market Town de Hawes, donde tendrá la oportunidad de visitar la galardonada Wensleydale Creamery, ¡el hogar de Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese!

Itinerario
Llegamos al monumento más famoso de Wensleydale, el Castillo Bolton del siglo XIV, que una vez albergó a María Reina de Escocia, donde tendrá la oportunidad de disfrutar y fotografiar las magníficas vistas de Wensleydale, aprender un poco sobre la historia de la zona con su Guía, o simplemente tomar un Yorkshire Brew en el salón de té del castillo medieval: ¡la elección es suya!
Luego tomamos la ruta escénica hacia Hawes, pasando por Askrigg, el pueblo ficticio de Darrowby en la serie de televisión James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small.
Pasamos una hora y media en Hawes, la ciudad con mercado más alta de Inglaterra, donde quizás pueda almorzar y probar los quesos artesanales de cortesía en el mundialmente famoso Centro de visitantes Wensleydale Creamery, visitar el Museo del Campo Dales o simplemente explorar el pintorescas tiendas y cafeterías de la ciudad: ¡la elección es suya!
Salimos de Hawes y nos dirigimos al corazón del Parque Nacional de Yorkshire Dales para tomar algunas fotos mientras pasamos por los pintorescos pueblos de Dales a lo largo de la ruta serpenteante del río Wharfe.
Llegamos al tradicional pueblo de Dales de Kettlewell, famoso internacionalmente en 2003 como el principal lugar de rodaje de la película Calendar Girls. Puede explorar el pueblo y aprender más sobre la verdadera historia detrás de la película, o simplemente disfrutar de una cerveza o un café con los lugareños en uno de los pubs y cafeterías, ¡lo que prefiera!

We had a wonderful private Yorkshire Dales tour with Best of Britain and our guide, Martin. Our group of six ranged in age from 19 to 85, and Martin did an excellent job making the day enjoyable and comfortable for everyone. He picked us up and dropped us off directly at our house, which made everything incredibly easy and stress-free. Throughout the day he was very accommodating about comfort breaks for the more seasoned members of our group, and never made us feel rushed. We visited so many beautiful places including Bolton Castle, Aysgarth Falls, Masham, Hawes, Grassington, Wensleydale Creamery, and several filming locations from All Creatures Great and Small, including the church where James and Helen were married. Martin was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out interesting scenery, landmarks, and local details that we never would have noticed on our own as UK transplants. He also happily pulled over whenever we wanted photos, which we really appreciated. Martin was kind, professional, and clearly cared about making sure we had a good experience. He even provided water bottles for the group, which was such a thoughtful touch. You could tell he genuinely enjoys sharing Yorkshire with visitors. This was a lovely way to see the Dales without the stress of driving ourselves, and I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wanting a relaxed, scenic, and personalized day exploring the area.

We had a fantastic day out. Chris our driver was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. He was very friendly and quickly worked out what things we would like to see. The Dales were stunning. Bolton Castle was decorated for Halloween. So many things to see. Cheese tasting in the Wensleydale creamery. Lunch there was 1st class. Minibus was clean and comfortable. I couldn't fault anything. Big thank you to Chris as he made our day great. I would definitely book a tour again.

We had such a great time. Our guide, Howard, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and history and sites. We had plenty of opportunity to get out and explore, take pictures and see many sights. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to see the Dales.

The Coit try side was beautiful beyond my expectations. And, we learned much more about the places we drove through and stop to visit because our guide was so knowledgeable of the history, geography and current lifestyle of the area and engaging

Howard was a wonderful guide through the dales, where he was brought up. He neither explained too much nor too little, which is a rare capacity in a guide. He navigated all the narrow roads (lanes?) with skill and was ready to stop whenever we wanted pix. The villages are charming, including those where both versions of "All Creatures Great and Small" were filmed, but the real star of the tour is the gorgeous countryside.
