Lago Sevan, la fascinación y la perla de la montañosa Armenia, que es uno de los lagos de agua dulce de mayor altitud del mundo. Está a unos 1900 m sobre el nivel del mar. El lago es de origen volcánico y está rodeado de montañas de 3000 my más altas. El hermoso paisaje y el agua cristalina son buenas condiciones previas para un excelente descanso.
Goshavank fue fundado por el famoso científico medieval, fabulista Mkhitar Gosh. El complejo consta de varios edificios religiosos y seculares. El inigualable khachkar puesto frente a la basílica de una sola nave fue creado por el hábil maestro Poghos en 1291. Koshavank solía ser uno de los centros religiosos y culturales más famosos de la Armenia medieval.
El monasterio de Haghartsin situado en los bosques de la región de Tavush representa un ejemplo indescriptible de mezcla de naturaleza y arquitectura. Fue fundado en los siglos 10-11, aunque se agregaron nuevos edificios en los siglos 12-13. Ahora se compone de St. Grigor, St. Astvatsatsin (Santa Madre de Dios), las iglesias de St. Stepanos y algunos otros edificios. El refectorio debido a su hábil composición arquitectónica es de gran interés. El enorme roble, que está casi a la edad del monasterio, completa toda la escena.
Se abre una escena maravillosa en la parte noroeste del lago Sevan, donde la península se eleva sobre la superficie transparente del lago. El monasterio Sevanavank fue construido en la península en 874 por orden de la hija del rey Ashot Bagratuni, la princesa Mariam. What a wonderful day with Jasmine and Ashot! I booked this tour for my husband and I and it was incredible. Highly recommend Ashot, as he is a reliable, calm driver. He was so kind and his vehicle was incredibly clean. We also highly recommend Jasmine. She is so smart, funny and knows how to perfectly schedule your day for a great time. She patiently and knowledgeably explained every detail and even gave us time to spend in these holy areas for ourselves. I wish I could have more and more weeks to spend and enjoy with them.

Private tour for 7 days : we decided on the program and agency fine tuned it. Wonderful time. Khachatur is an experienced easy going very knowledgeable and helpful guide. Alexander was a very safe and thoughtfull driver. Everyrhing was well organized. Time goes by great with many interesting explanations, water on demand, comfortable and clean vehicles. We highly recommend for an unforgettable experience in Armenia.

Our day began with a visit to Sevanavank Monastery, followed by an unforgettable swim in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Sevan. It was such a unique and special experience, and we felt incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy it. After a delicious lakeside lunch, we continued our journey to Haghartsin and Goshavank Monasteries, both of which were truly beautiful and inspiring. Throughout the trip, our driver made us feel completely safe and comfortable on the road. We also enjoyed a lovely stop in Dilijan, where we experienced its charming historic atmosphere and stunning natural scenery. Although the day started sunny, the weather turned rainy later on, especially at the higher elevations. We were pleasantly surprised that our driver provided separate umbrellas for both my husband and me—a thoughtful touch that showed great attention to detail. Throughout the journey, complimentary cold bottled water was always available, making the trip even more comfortable. The entire tour became one of the most memorable days of our trip to Armenia. A heartfelt thank you to Hyur Service and especially to our driver, Baron Arakil. He did far more than drive us from place to place—he enriched the journey with fascinating stories about Armenian history, culture, music, and even films. His knowledge, kindness, and passion made this experience truly exceptional. Highly recommended!

We did a two-day tour of northern Armenia with Hyur Tours and it was a amazing experience. Our driver, Hrach, handled the long mountain roads with no drama and was easy company throughout. The car's air-conditioning was a real plus in the heat, and he also brought umbrellas along, which we were grateful for when heavy rain rolled in around Dilijan and the monastery there. Tamara, our guide, clearly knew the region: she gave good background at Lake Sevan and the monasteries and was always open to questions rather than sticking to a script. Very knowledgeable. The general pace stayed relaxed and they were happy to linger wherever we wanted. Nothing over-the-top, just well organized and genuinely enjoyable. Recommended if you want to see this part of the country with people who know it well.
