En este recorrido de 3-4 horas, visite la Catedral Madre Echmiadzin (desde el exterior), la catedral principal de la Iglesia Apostólica Armenia y la primera catedral cristiana del mundo. Está incluido entre los sitios del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO. La iglesia de St. Hripsime es uno de los famosos edificios eclesiásticos de la ciudad de Echmiadzin. Este es el ejemplo desarrollado y perfecto de iglesias de copa cruzada en Armenia. La iglesia es notable con su simplicidad arquitectónica y elegancia. La tumba de la Virgen mártir cristiana Hripsime se encuentra en la sacristía de la iglesia. El sitio está incluido en la Lista del Patrimonio Cultural Mundial de la UNESCO.
No muy lejos de la catedral de Echmiadzin, con el fondo de picos blancos de Ararat, se puede ver la silueta de la cúpula de la iglesia de San Gayano. Fue construido en el siglo VII y pertenece al estilo cúpula-basílica. Según la leyenda, esta iglesia fue construida sobre la tumba de la Virgen Gayane, que había sido martirizada por predicar el cristianismo. El sitio está incluido en la Lista del Patrimonio Cultural Mundial de la UNESCO.
Este maravilloso templo es el resultado de la habilidad y la valiente creatividad de los arquitectos armenios del siglo VII. Habiendo sido construido sobre varias columnas, solo pudo sobrevivir hasta el siglo X. Cuando a principios del siglo XX se estaba excavando este sitio, muchos especialistas difícilmente podían aceptar su modelo de reconstrucción, diseñado por el famoso arquitecto armenio Toros Toramanyan, ya que era difícil de creer, que una construcción tan enorme y complicada podría haberse construido en esos días, y sorprendentemente en ese momento uno de los bajorrelieves de la iglesia de St. Chapelle en París vino a probar la versión de Toramanyan; el bajorrelieve representa el templo de Zvartnots con el Arca de Noé y parece el modelo, representado por el arquitecto. El sitio está incluido en la Lista del Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad de la UNESCO.

The tour guide Karen was excellent! It was a very interesting tour and Karen made it really great because he explained in detail all the destinations and their history, making us fully understand the value of what is the spiritual center of Armenia. Karen and Joseph were our guide and driver. The trip was wonderful through truly ancient places. And very spiritual because since it was Sunday we were able to participate in the liturgy. The guide Karen has been very kind and has explained everything to us very well. The cathedral is beautiful and the Zvartnots temple is idyllic.

I have taken two tours with Hyur: 🔹Garni and Geghard with David as driver and Marina as guide. 🔹Echmiadzin Cathedral and churches, Zvartnots Temple, with Gayane as guide and Joseph as driver. The experience went very well, since you check in at their office, they assign you a bus, and then you go on to meet your guides. I must say that both Marina and Gayane were excellent, with great historical knowledge, very kind, with wonderful explanations of the History of Armenia, and with the interest that their group have a great day. It is noticeable that they are very proud to be able to show the history of their country to those of us who decided to visit it. Regarding the drivers, I must say that they were very efficient, with safe driving, and very punctual. In general, the two tours were a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful experience on our tour today with Raffi as our guide and Sasha as our driver. Both were incredibly friendly, professional, and made the entire day enjoyable from start to finish. Raffi was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating historical information at every stop, which really brought each site to life. He also went above and beyond by taking numerous photos of our family throughout the day, helping us capture some wonderful memories.
