Praga River Adventure : Visita guiada en canoa

We went there with a school group, and everyone had a great time. The guides were fantastic and kept us well entertained.

I booked a guided paddleboarding tour with SUP Prague as a first-time paddleboarder. On 16 August I received an email from SUP Prague confirming my reservation and providing detailed instructions for the experience. The email specifically stated: “You don’t need to worry about organizing anything else. We will have the equipment ready and explain everything when you arrive.” I subsequently had to initiate the communication myself to rearrange the booking due to the weather, and again had to follow up to confirm that the new booking was actually in place and to establish how payment would work. Samuel confirmed that I had a booking for 10am and asked me to contact him via WhatsApp “for quicker communication”. I messaged him at 10:53am the previous day specifically asking how much the session would cost so that I could obtain the correct amount of cash. I received no response until 8:59am on the morning of the booking. At that point, despite my booking being for 10am, I still had to ask again for the price. Samuel then asked whether I wanted to rent a board or do a tour. I confirmed that I wanted the tour and told him at 9:47am that I was already on the ferry travelling to the meeting point. At 9:52am, while I was already en route, Samuel told me: “I’m not 100% sure that the guide will be there.” A few minutes later I arrived to find that there was no tour. I was offered the option of renting a board instead. As a first-time paddleboarder who had specifically booked a guided tour, this was obviously not an equivalent alternative. Samuel subsequently told me that the morning tour had been cancelled and that he had only found out at approximately 9:50am that the instructor would no longer be coming to the location. He apologised for the wasted trip and poor experience and acknowledged that he should have given me a clear confirmation earlier. I appreciate that cancellations can happen. What is unacceptable is that I was allowed to travel to the meeting point for a confirmed 10am booking and was only told, when I was already on my way, that there might not even be a guide. The company’s own confirmation told me that everything would be organised and explained when I arrived. Instead, I spent considerable time arranging and rearranging this booking, repeatedly chasing for basic information, travelled to the meeting point, and ultimately found that the experience I had booked was not being provided. Very disappointing and particularly poor communication from a company offering an activity where customers need to know that the session is actually going ahead before travelling to the meeting point.

We booked the guided canoe tour for our 60 students as a team-building event for the course trip. The planning of the event was very easy, as Samuel was in contact with us and quickly answered any questions that arose. At the event, the students had the choice between 2-person canoes, 4-person canoes, and stand-up paddles. First, there was a safety briefing. Then, the sovereign forward driving was practiced. Next, Samuel (the tour guide) incorporated some mini-games into the tour: knowledge questions, skill games, and a race to finish. The event was very enjoyable for the students despite the cold weather. Definitely a highlight of our course trip to Prague thanks to the friendly guide, great scenery, and team activities. Thank you!

We were there with a group of senior students and it was a great group experience. Samuel's introduction and warm-up was tailored to the group. Samuel and Michal took each one with them, none stayed behind even if it didn't work out so well at the beginning. Again and again challenges were built in to loosen up and we also overheard a lot of inside knowledge about the city that was packed entertainingly as a quiz. At the end, there was an award ceremony for quizzes and challenges. Completely successful for a group of students. Also the details around it were thoughtful and loving. There was water, fruit and looseners as well as a toilet. We will definitely come back.

Experiencing Prague from the water at a low angle was truly amazing. The canoe trip was smooth and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. I’d definitely choose SUP Prague again on my next visit and highly recommend it to others.

Sam was an incredible host with some really great knowledge about the city and its history!! This was by far the highlight of our entire trip and would highly recommend!!

It was a really fun way to learn about Prague. Sam is so passionate about what he does and it shows so was amazing to experience. We were only there for one day and did this as a tour and really enjoyed and recommend to anyone who wants to try something a little different and fun! 😁😁
