What a lovely experience ! Great wine tasting and amazing picnic after with breathtaking views . A must do when in Assisi

We spent a wonderful day enjoying good wine and nature. We were accompanied with great professionalism and passion in tasting their wines, from whites to reds, discovering the characteristics and peculiarities of each label. The hospitality was excellent, the location immersed in a wonderful context, and the view of Assisi is simply spectacular. An authentic and relaxing experience that I highly recommend to all wine lovers and those who appreciate beautiful atmospheres.

We went for the lunch and wine tasting as a splurge after 5 days of hiking in Umbria. It did not disappoint. The 2 whites and 3 reds wines were paired well with the food. The food was all local food from Umbria. I’m not sure if they serve the same food at every tasting, but the porchetta was to die for. We truly appreciated the host, who was a family member of the vineyard, as she seamlessly flowed from English to Italian explaining the wines the history of the vineyard and answering our questions. She accommodated one of our guest with an unexpected allergy with ease. If the weather is good, don’t miss the self guided tour of the vineyard!

Tastings and snacks were excellent. Tasting talk was very clear, informative and friendly. Daughter of the owner gave the talk/tasting and juggled Italian and English with ease. The walk around the vineyard after the tasting was interesting.

The wine tasting and picnic on Agnese's family vineyard, right below Assisi, were a memorable experience. I visited SAIO with my wife, where we got the chance to taste five different wines produced by SAIO, each well-explained by Agnese. After the tasting, we chose our favourite bottle, and walked through the vineyard to a picnic area where we met Agnese who provided the bottle of wine, a selection of fresh Umbrian nibbles, and everything else we needed, for the picnic. During the walk leading to the epicnic area, and the picnic itself, we could enjoy views of the Santa Maria degli Angeli Basilica, and of Assisi. Their service, place, and products were excellent. The picnic was so relaxing. I truly recommend others to visit SAIO, especially since they are located quite close to the town.

We will start with how easy it was for us to find. Our hostess was incredibly friendly. She was kind with my attempts speaking Italian. The wine is incredibly delicious. The lunch, as you may imagine, was also incredibly delicious. We were able to spend hours relaxing, enjoying wine and local meats and cheeses, and learning about wine. We traveled off season, so we were not rushed or packed in as I suspect it would be in summer months. Just a fantastic experience all the way around. 5 ❤️!

Excellent really all the products provided and the wine produced by the farm. The view of Assisi and Santa Maria degli Angeli really impressive and the owner really friendly and helpful. I hardly write reviews but this experience really deserves! We will definitely return

Beautiful picnic at sunset. It 'an experience that I will certainly repeat for professionalism and proposal. One piece of advice I can give to the Saio team, would be to create an illuminated route to exit the vineyard area at the end of the experience. In fact, not only we, but also the other guests, had difficulty walking through the vineyards in the dark and reaching the exit.

Discovery of the different wines of the estate and fascinating explanations followed by a walk in the vineyards and a picnic in front of a wonderful viewpoint on Assisi in height! I recommend.
