we got to 'play' with elephants, what more is there to say? the staff was amazing, sharing knowledge and being entertaining. we prepared food, fed the elephants, covered them in mud and then washed them off. not only where they taking pictures they shared, they noticed i was a solo traveler and took my phone to take even more pictures.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with the elephants and our staff. It’s great to know that we could make your solo trip even more special. We hope to welcome you again soon!
This trip is advertised as ethical. It definitely was not ethical. There were way too many people (50/60 people per group) crowding the poor elephants, making them do tricks on demand for photos. One elephant was crying which was horrible to see. In the bathing experience they lay 3 elephants, one being an infant in the water and were letting people jump and dive all over them. This tour puts the people/money over the animals they say they're looking after. Needs to be much smaller groups and stricter with the people attending. Should be more focused on the elephants and teaching people about them and their habits.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and your concerns. Animal welfare is extremely important, and the program is operated under the venue’s stated ethical guidelines. We take your comments seriously and will forward them to the sanctuary management for review. Your feedback is valuable and helps encourage improvements in both group management and guest experience.
The elephant feeding part of the tour was good, and the kids were excited to see they had one Capybara. However, several other aspects of the tour were so bad that the tour warrants 2-3 stars: 2-hour shuttle to arrive (direct by private car should have been 30 min); many smokers in the designated areas which were right next to the group staging area, so no avoiding it; the cooking/food portion of the event was one staff quickly throwing a couple dishes together (not us learning/cooking) and it was so poorly staged that you had to fight to be able to see through the large group-not at all practical for kids. Overall, the instructions and guidance from the staff throughout the visit was not well coordinated or clear, though they were quite friendly.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that parts of the tour did not meet your expectations, especially regarding transportation time, group management, and activity organization. Your comments have been shared with the sanctuary team to help improve coordination and the overall guest experience. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know.
Doubtful case because they make it a commercial thing anyway 2 times a day the elephants entertaining people didn't feel like a free shelter where they could live freely The little elephant also raised its paw with people who wanted to take a picture with him Indeed the photos you get are free they take but didn’t find it a real sanctuary Also, a squirrel was held in a very small cubicle very pathetic
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your honest comments and are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We take animal welfare concerns seriously and will pass your feedback to the operator for review and improvement.
This was a great experience and very ethical. They take good care of the elephants and you get alot done in the day. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had a great and meaningful experience with us. Our team truly cares about the elephants’ wellbeing and is committed to ethical and responsible tourism.
