We thought that we had booked and paid top dollar for a luxury cruise but sadly no. This is a very average cruise run by a very average company. Do not expect the luxury they advertise even in the Gold Class seats which are quite uncomfortable and so low that it is impossible to see out of the windows. There was supposed to be outdoor seating and sun beds on the upper deck but there was nothing, just an empty space. We cruised at a slower pace around the smaller islands but did not see much at all, not even where the monkeys were supposed to be. There was a boat next to ours at the marina which looked more like the one advertised but we were told that ours was the only boat going out that. The crew tried their best. The lunch onshore was very mediocre and mostly Indian which catered for the majority of the passengers. Book this cruise if you want a steady journey without riding the waves in a speedboat but don’t expect too much.
Dear Jacqueline_Q, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent Phi Phi Islands cruise. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment caused by the advertised luxury not being reflected in your journey. We appreciate you highlighting the specific areas where we fell short, such as the seating comfort, advertised amenities, and the sights encountered. Your comments about the lunch are also noted. We are glad to hear that the crew did their best during your trip. We will certainly review your feedback internally to identify areas for improvement. Best regards, The Parallel Tour Team
It was a very nice tour, without stress and according to the description. It was a pity that very little seating was available outside on the ship. Especially on the upper deck I missed them very much. We booked the gold class. There were small snacks, coffee and soft drinks for free. Toilets on board are also available.
We've done similar tours quite a few times and this was a mixed experience overall. The Ferry was brilliant - as silver and above you get fully reclining chairs and complementary snacks, and the chairs in economy looked quite good too. The guide at the pier before leaving was very off-putting and outright lied to us at the beginning of the tour, telling people 3-4 times that they MUST buy the overpriced drinks and snacks from the vendor at the pier as there would be NO drinks or snacks on the Ferry, and the food and drinks on the island were overpriced. We later saw that even for economy, they had soft drinks for 40 baht, whereas in the pier it was 80 baht for a small can. The dishonesty was incredibly off-putting. Furthermore, the drinks and food at the island were cheaper than the pier too. Super disappointed that they'd take advantage of people in this way. On the island, the buffet lunch was unfortunately awful. It was a 250bht all you can eat but the food was cold, bland and limited in options. I've had great meals on previous tours so this was a shame. Be aware (because they haven't put a proper itinerary on here???) They do not have time to stop on any of the other islands, you get about 2h in Phi Phi Don and that's it. It's 200bht pp extra if you want to snorkel during that time off the coast, or 20bht pp if you don't. I personally can accept that because our boat was slow moving we wouldn't have time to visit other locations, as I had to be on a ferry due to being pregnant, but for everyone who can go on a speed boat i would recommend one of those tours as you'll get a lot more time to actually explore and swim.
PHI PHI beach, MAYA BAY and LONG TAIL BOAT photo opp stops. Lunch was OK, BOAT was a bit overcrowded. Friendly staff.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We hope to see you again! Best regards, Parallel Tour
