Itinerario

Alessandra is a wonderful guide - very personable and knowledgeable and we learned so much about both Perugia and Assisi, two very interesting, historic and beautiful cities. After touring Perugia in the morning, she suggested some places to grab a quick delicious lunch and gave us clear direction to find Elio, who drove us to and from Assisi. We met up with Alessandra again in Assisi to learn the history of the religious sites there. She was very respectful of the faithful since the remains of three saints are in Assisi including the newest millennial saint. Elio stopped on the drive back so we could take pictures of the city at sunset. I would definitely recommend this very special day trip!
Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a memorable day discovering both Perugia and Assisi with Alessandra. It’s lovely to know that Alessandra’s knowledge and friendly approach made the history of both cities engaging and enjoyable. We’re also glad that her local recommendations helped you make the most of your lunch break in Perugia before continuing on to Assisi. And we’re happy that Elio added a special touch to the day with the sunset photo stop on the way back! We particularly appreciate your comments about the respectful way the religious heritage of Assisi was presented. These places are deeply meaningful to many visitors, and sharing their history with sensitivity is an important part of the experience. Thank you again for recommending this day trip — it was a pleasure to have you with us!
We really enjoyed this private tour! It was divided into two parts. The first being a walk around Perugia. We are so pleased we did this as we were totally unaware of the Entrusian remains of a city under ground level. It was incredible! The second part was Assisi equally as fascinating but from a religious way rather than cultural. We are not religious but found the churches of St Francis and St Clare very interesting and beautiful! Assisi is a beautiful town in itself! We really enjoyed our day and our guide was fantastic with real enthusiasm for the places we visited. We would both definately recommend and in fact went back the following day to relook at some of the sights we had seen in Perugia plus visited some of our guides recommendations with the Entrusisn Well and the Chocolate museum! Thank you so much!

Top rate experience with Emanuela. Very knowledgeable and with excellent communication in English. Learned so much about Perugia, Assisi, and the region. Tour was easily tailored to our particular needs.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your full-day experience in Perugia and Assisi with Emanuela. Her knowledge, flexibility, and passion for sharing the history and culture of the region truly make every tour special. It’s great to know that the tour could be tailored to your needs and that you left with a deeper understanding of Umbria. We hope to welcome you again for another memorable experience in Italy!
Great day! It was ungodly hot but our tour guide kept us in the shade as much as possible. She was a great storyteller but also a master of Logistics. She arranged a lovely lunch as well as transportation which allowed us to be dropped off at the top of Assisi (which is on a very steep hill) and picked up later at the bottom. I give her my highest recommendation!
The day was cold, windy, and damp, but the warmth of our guide Barbara and our driver cut through all that and made it a truly memorable visit. Barbara’s knowledge of art and history was amazing. There is a lot of walking and steps but she made allowances and accommodated our pace. We missed nothing. At the end of the day we felt we were saying goodbye to an old friend that we hope will see again soon. She made the tour a great personal experience, so much more than just visiting historical and religious monuments.
This tour was a great way to see the best of Perugia and Assisi in a day. 1st part was a walking tour of Perugia hosted by Pepe. Great views of the city, Etruscan walls, old fort ruins as well as history of Perugia and Italy. Also some excellent tips on a sunset bar and pizza by slice. Perugia is a wonderful and underrated city. 2nd part we were collected by a driver and taken to Assisi. Met by expert guide and taken through this fascinating world heritage site. A must see if you are in the region. All up one of the best private tours you can do in Italy.
Amazing historical and religious overview and detailed view of these Umbrian hill towns!!! Werner was an amazing guide!!
Our guide, Werner, was truly a local, with earlier European background. His knowledge of history and art was amongst the best of any guide we have used anywhere. And his love of Assisi and St. Francis was very obvious. We also liked that he was flexible in scheduling, and open to expanding discussions.
An excellent guide; informative and helpful. One of our best experiences in Italy so far. As we are “older”, we appreciated how he managed the pace. Michaela was a delight in every way.
Francesca made our two city day tour very memorable. She brilliantly covered a huge amount of artistic social and cultural history across all of the ages of Etruscan, Roman, medieval and Renaissance history. She kept us in the shade when it got too hot and went at my slower pace when it was needed, and very kindly organised for us to take the tour of Basilica of San Francesco D’assisi from the top down so I didn’t need to walk the many steps going up! We would thoroughly recommend this incredible tour and our personal thanks to Francesca for a wonderful day.
