Recorrido Peatonal del Centro Histórico de San Luis Potosí

La ciudad de San Luis Potosí tiene mas de 430 años de historia. Su riqueza cultural se expresa en la arquitectura de sus edificios, plazas, jardines y templos. Disfruta del Centro Histórico tal y como lo hacen sus ciudadanos. Nuestros guías son acreditados por el gobierno federal de México.

Itinerario
Después de reconocer los orígenes virreinales de la fundación de la ciudad, nos adentraremos al patio del Edificio Central de la Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí para conocer las dinámicas de las ordenes religiosas en la vida de la sociedad potosina en aquellas épocas de la Nueva España, y de como ha evolucionado el recinto a través del tiempo; siempre con una vocación educativa.
En este edifico se recolectaban las contribuciones del famoso "Quinto Real", además de resguardar las producciones de Oro y Plata de los mineros potosinos. Este recinto actualmente es un centro cultural administrado por la Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí.
Descubriremos los alrededores del Antiguo Convento Franciscano. Visitaremos el Jardín Guerrero, el templo de San Francisco de Asís, el callejón del Santo Entierro y la Plaza de Aránzazu mientras describimos la iconografía más destacada y los usos que tiene actualmente por los ciudadanos de San Luis Potosí.
Caminaremos desde el Jardín Guerrero, pasando por el Ex Convento Agustino y hasta arribar a la Plaza del Carmen donde conoceremos el exterior de dos edificios: El Museo Nacional de la Máscara y el Teatro de la Paz. Visitaremos el interior del Templo de San Elías e interpretaremos la iconografía de su fachada, retablo, el altar de los siete príncipes y el camarín de la Virgen del Carmen.
Caminaremos desde la Plaza del Carmen para llegar al Jardín Hidalgo o Plaza de Armas. Conoceremos el exterior del Palacio de Gobierno, el Antiguo Ayuntamiento y el Congreso del Estado. Interpretaremos la iconografía fachada de la Catedral Metropolitana de San Luis Potosí y los datos más interesantes de su historia. Concluiremos nuestro recorrido pasando por el quisco del jardín para volver hasta Plaza Fundadores, nuestro punto de reunión.

Miguel was really good. I had my solo tour. I was the only one. Pity because it would have been nice to interact with others but he made it really good. He did it in Spanish translating in English when I needed.

On time, enjoyable and does not cancel if there are just two of you like some others. He was very slow moving from one area to another so that would be my suggestion for slight improvement. Standing is very hard for seniors, movement is actually better and keeps photographers more engaged. I would recommend this first day you arrive in the city. I learned a lot, thank you.
