El recorrido comienza con un viaje panorámico en furgoneta hasta el extremo norte de la isla, donde llegamos a la Lunch Creek Falls Trailhead. Desde allí, nos embarcamos en un paseo fácil a través de la exuberante selva tropical templada, rodeado de imponentes hojas perennes y los relajantes sonidos de la naturaleza. En el camino, nos detendremos para disfrutar de la belleza de Lunch Creek Falls, una cascada que fluye debajo de un impresionante puente de madera, perfecto para capturar fotos impresionantes. We had a phenomenal guide named Jordan. Extremely passionate and knowledgeable..made our hike so interesting and we all learned a lot both in the rainforest and at the beach. Physically, this was a good hike-up and down slopes and stairs, and the beach was rocky.. Sturdy shoes needed. We really enjoyed ourselves.
My wife and I really enjoyed this excursion. The rainforest is beautiful and the air is just so pure there! We also learned that even if it's raining in town, it can be clear just outside of it. We docked in the rain and were thinking that we would be stuck hiking in rain all day, but as soon as we drove a bit out of town there was no more rain! Our guide made it a top notch experience! We had a great morning with Jordan! He was so knowledgeable about everything Ketchikan has to offer. We saw so much flora and fauna, including beautiful rainforests and tide pools filled with fish, sea stars, crabs, and other creatures. Would definitely return. Thanks!
If you enjoy hiking through the woods, then you should enjoy this tour. It is a nice long walk through the rainforest. It is definitely not for the elderly or mobility challenged because there are a lot of narrow steps throughout the walk. We had Jordan as our tour guide and he was absolutely fascinating to listen to. He knows so much about the plants in the forest and would share how he uses them for medicinal purposes. We did not unfortunately see any wildlife. We were hoping to see a bear or a banana slug or sea stars along the beach, but we didn’t even see a bird. It still was very enjoyable because of everything Jordan taught us, and I enjoy taking hikes through the woods.
This was a great experience to get away from crowds and see another part of Alaska’s beauty. Loved the small group and the chance to see lots of natural beauty! Thank you Jordan!!!

Jordan was an awesome guide. He was knowledgeable and obviously passionate to share his love of this island with guests. Would highly recommend and wish we were able to stay longer for a longer hike! Beautiful rainforest and perfect beach timing for low tide to see an abundance of wildlife.

Jordan was a wonderful tour guide for our rainforest hike in Ketchikan. He was great at communicating where to meet him, he was punctual, very friendly and talkative and informative. He showed us a lot of cool things by the water , sea stars, sea urchins and crabs. Had a great time with him.
